  1. Beyond: Two Souls letterboxing remover

    Unpack the archive with software like 7zip, then patch the main game exe with the tool.
    This will remove the letterboxing (black bars) from the game, resulting in more vertical FOV than ever before. There will be some vertical stretching of the menu and subtitles.

    If you have the game on Steam, you will first need to adapt and follow the first steps of my DQB2 guide in order to apply the patcher. Such are the rules!

  2. FPS fix for Tobe's Vertical Adventure

    Tobe's Vertical Adventure was created with the XNA Framework. There is a bug in XNA that frequently causes XNA games' FPS to be locked at a lower rate than intended (usually 42 or 48 for a 60 FPS game). See here and here for more information about this bug.
    This file is a replacement executable for Tobe's Vertical adventure that simply disables the game's fixedTimeStep flag, allowing it to run at a full 60 FPS on modern PC hardware. It was created by a user in the Steam Community.

    Download the archive, unpack it with 7zip or similar software, then point the patcher matching your aspect ratio at \TSCGame\Binaries\Win64\TSCGame-Win64-Shipping.exe within the game folder.
    This will match the FOV to the default 16:9 vertical value and remove the pillarboxing from the dialogue scenes.
    Tested at 2560x1080, 3440x1440, 3840x1080 and 5760x1080.

  6. Heavy Rain ultrawide, 16:10 and narrower fixes

    These solutions for 2560x1080, 3440x1440, 32:9, 5:4, 4:3 and 16:10 resolutions will remove the black bars from the game without reducing the field of view. The pre-rendered cutscenes, subtitles and some of the UI elements will be stretched.
    Unpack the applicable archive with software like 7zip - the password is pcgw if required.
    If using the trainer, make sure the game is launched before it. After applying the fixes with the hotkeys, change the display mode to fullscreen or borderless and apply. If using the patcher with the Steam version, unpack the game executable with Steamless first, rename it back, then patch. Tested on the latest EGS and Steam versions mainly at 2560x1080, 3440x1440 and 3840x1080.

  8. Octopath Traveler ultrawide, superwide, widescreen fix

    The tools remove black bars from the game at resolutions including 16:10, 21:9 and 32:9.
    There will be UI alignment issues, especially noticeable at the world map, but the game appears to be fully playable with no elements out of view.
    For the trainer,
    Unpack the archive with software like 7zip or PeaZip using the password pcgw Launch the game, followed by the tool. Press the hotkey to toggle the fix. Tested on the latest Steam and Game Pass versions at 2560x1080, 3440x1440, 3840x1080 and 5120x1440. The 16:10 solution was tested on a Steam Deck by Heron. All CE trainers may trigger some anti-virus software.

    Download the included trainer and unpack it with software like PeaZip. The password is pcgw Launch the game, then the tool. Press the shown keys to remove the black bars and adjust FOV as desired. Alternatively, for the DRM-free version, use the included aspect ratio patchers to target \BloodstainedRotN\Binaries\Win64\BloodstainedRotN-Win64-Shipping.exe within the game folder.
    To avoid upscaling, edit %LOCALAPPDATA%\BloodstainedRotN\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini and at the end add
    ResolutionSizeX=YOUR_WIDTH
    ResolutionSizeY=YOUR_HEIGHT
    and set FullscreenMode=0
    Changing game settings may reset the above.
    Tested on the latest Steam version at 2560x1080 and 5120x1440.

  14. Stories Untold letterbox remover

    The mod removes letterboxing (horizontal black bars) from every episode of the game and from the menu. There are a few videos in the game files which have embedded black bars, so they will not be affected by the mod. In episode 1, the mod may also disable subtitles because they had been hidden behind the bottom black bar and would always appear otherwise.
    The mod was tested with the Epic Games store version 1.3.
    Unpack the archive, then copy and paste the folder to your game folder, replacing the original files when prompted.

  17. World War Z ultrawide & multimonitor fix (mostly obsolete)

    The mod has been been removing pillarboxing affecting gameplay, cutscenes and menu since game launch and up to October 29, 2019.
    After update 1.40, it is no longer required but still removes all pillarboxing from the menu and fixes the stretching issue caused by FidelityFX CAS.
    Download the archive and use the password pcgw to unpack it with software like PeaZip or 7-Zip.
    Launch the tool and target \en_us\client\bin\pc\wwzRetailEgs.exe in the main folder.
    The solution is essentially approved by the developers that said it won't be bannable, then pinned the message on their official Discord.

    Fan-made patcher which fixes the glitched levels on the retails copies of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (2005)
     
    Some levels on the retail version of SCCT are known to be glitched and makes the game literally unplayable. (Ex: the zipline at the Penthouse)
     
    The fixed files comes directly from the Steam version of the game.
    This patcher allows you to simply replace all your broken levels files by the fixed ones of the Steam version without spending $9,99, as you already bought the game.
     
    The patcher automatically backups all of your pre-existing levels files into "/Data/Maps/SCCTPatch_Backup" located in the game main folder.
    If needed, you can restore them at any time.
     
    => The fixed levels requires the official SCCT v1.05 patch released by Ubisoft ! <=
