    1,846 downloads

The tools for the Steam and Microsoft Store versions of Halo: Reach, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, ODST, and Halo 4 offer real-time solutions for the cutscenes at ultrawide, superwide and triple monitor resolutions. Depending on the game, they remove the black bars, correct the vertical FOV reduction or allow to choose between the scaling behaviors of the FMVs. The password for the archives is pcgw Play the game in the Anti-Cheat Disabled mode for this to work. Launch the game first, then the tool. The tool is a trainer based on CE components that may trigger some anti-virus software. Making it into a patcher would be inconvenient, as it would likely require replacing files before each launch in the anti-cheat-enabled mode. Tested the Xbox / Microsoft Store versions of all games at 2560x1080, 5120x1440 and 5760x1080. You can buy me a coffee or become a patron. My newest fixes are available here.

This RAR file contains modified lithtech.exe files that fix the FOV issue in Nina: Agent Chronicles (2002), as the game's engine, LithTech Talon, stretches the image at resolutions with an aspect ratio wider than 4:3, due to it having a constant horizontal FOV, no matter the resolution chosen. Supported aspect ratios: 5:4, 1.85:1, 2.39:1, 2.76:1, 12:3, 15:4, 15:9, 16:9, 16:10, 21:9 (2560x1080), 21:9 (3440x1440), 21:9 (3840x1600), 32:9, 32:10, 45:9, 48:9 and 48:10. Tools used: OllyDbg, Cheat Engine, HxD Instructions: 1. Extract the lithtech.exe that corresponds to your aspect ratio to the main game folder, overwriting the original executable. 2. Set your resolution in <path-to-game>/autoexec.cfg. 3. Look for the lines "GameScreenHeight", "SCREENHEIGHT", "SCREENWIDTH" and "GameScreenWidth". 4. Once in-game, don't go to the video options or the custom resolution is lost. Instructions for other aspect ratios: 1. So, the LithTech engine declares FOV values with radians as 32-bit floats. The hex location for horizontal FOV is in the address 000CAF91. 2. Open one of the modded lithtech.exe files in a hex editor like HxD. 3. Press Ctrl+G and go to the offset address in step 1. 4. Highlight the 4 pairs of values after where the cursor is positioned after doing the search for the address. 5. Use a degrees to radians converter like this one: https://www.rapidtables.com/convert/number/degrees-to-radians.html 6. Enter your desired degrees (horizontal FOV). 7. Press "Convert". 8. Copy the radians result and go back to HxD. 9. Go to the "Data inspector" tab at the right side and paste the value in the "Single (float32)" row. 10. Press Enter and save the file. Your new horizontal FOV will be saved permanently.

Comes with a RAR file, which includes IGI.exe binaries for 5:4, 15:9, 16:9, 16:10, 25:16, 21:9, 32:9 and 48:9 aspect ratios. You still need the original CD inserted or mounted in order to play the game with this fix. Instructions: - Extract the executable that corresponds to the aspect ratio you want to use, to the root game folder, replacing any original files. - Choose a resolution in the game settings that matches the aspect ratio you chose above, and upscale the HUD size of a lower resolution to a higher one using dgVoodoo2. This RAR file contains a modified client.dll intended to fix the FOV in Sanity: AIken's Artifact (2000). The game's engine, LithTech 2.0, has Vert- scaling at wider resolutions than 4:3, and makes the game unplayable in many sections at aspect ratios wider than 16:9. This fix supports the following aspect ratios: 12:5, 16:9, 16:10, 64:27 (21:9), 32:9, 43:18, 48:9 and 256:135. Instructions: 1. Extract client.dll to <path-to-game>/LITHTECH/, overwriting the original file (the original client.dll is included in case you want it back). Credits also go to: Automaniak

This file is intended to fix the FOV in American McGee's Alice, since the engine the game uses (id Tech 3) is Vert-, it means the vertical FOV is reduced the wider the aspect ratio becomes. This is a permanent fix, so it's no longer needed to run the "fov" command every level reset/restart or binding the command to a key. Both the gameplay and cutscene FOV are fixed. This fixes the FOV for 15:9, 16:9, 16:10, 21:9, 64:27, 32:9, 32:10, 48:9 and 48:10 resolutions. Instructions: - Just extract the file that corresponds to your aspect ratio and put it inside the "Base" folder overwriting the original file (the original file is included in this fix in case you need it again). Credits also go to: Drog Black Tooth (RPG Codex Forums)

The mod rescales the movies to fully use up the screen height, as opposed to windowboxing in ultrawide. Unpack the archive to the game folder. The first launch may be longer than expected. Works with the latest Steam game version as of December 14, 2023. Tested at 2560x1080, 3440x1440, and 5120x1440. You can buy me a coffee if you like my work.

The FOV tool attempts to automatically correct the field of view of the cutscenes at 21:9 and wider and allows for real-time FOV adjustment affecting all scenes at any resolution. As any trainer based on CE components, it may trigger some anti-virus software. Use software like 7zip or PeaZip to unpack the archive. The password is pcgw Launch the game first, followed by the tool. Press the hotkeys as instructed. The letterbox remover tool is a patcher, which may require the use of Steamless as a prerequisite on Steam. Tested the latest Steam version at 2560x1080, 3840x1080 and 5760x1080. The game copy was generously funded by AlRayes of Ultrawide Benchmarks. You can buy me a coffee or become a patron. The mod previously removed pillarboxing from the gameplay and menu, as well as letterboxing from the cutscenes.

The tool forces the game to use the desktop resolution, removing black bars. Unlike the existing solution, it works with the Microsoft Store / Game Pass version of the game and doesn't rely on the aspect ratio bytes. Unpack the archive with software like PeaZip. The password is pcgw Launch the game first, then the tool. Press the hotkey as shown In the game, make sure to start a new game or continue, then navigate to Settings - Graphics - Resolution and switch to anything. All trainers based on CE components may trigger some anti-virus software. Tested the latest Xbox Game Pass version at 2560x1080, 3440x1440, 5760x1080 and 11520x1080. You can buy me a coffee here.

The game can be run in widescreen by changing the resolution in the VideoSettings.scr config file, but this results in stretched HUD and text, and cropped vertical FOV (Vert-). This RAR file fixes both of those, and contains modified code.pak and .scr files that fix the FOV and HUD for the 2006 racing game Xpand Rally Xtreme. The fix supports the following aspect ratios: 5:4, 12:5, 15:9, 16:9, 16:10, 25:16, 43:18 and 64:27 (basically same as 21:9). Instructions: 1. Extract the files inside the folder that corresponds to your desired aspect ratio to the main game folder, overwriting all original files (make a backup of those first if needed). 2. Set your desired resolution in VideoSettings.scr (<main game folder>/Data/VideoSettings.scr). Credits go to: Automaniak

The solution allows to remove the black bars from the gameplay at 21:9 and wider. If updating from an earlier version, verify the game files and remove dxgi.dll from the game folder. Download the mod and unpack the archive to the game folder. Launch the game (which will generate the config). If you prefer the UI to be spanned, open \BepInEx\config\blasphemous.ultrawide.rose.cfg and set UIspanToWidth to true. Tested on the latest Steam version at 21:9, 32:9, and 48:9 resolutions. Note that the screenshots are from the first version and do not fully represent the improved look of v2.0. You can buy me a coffee or become a patron. My linktree.

This is a SUWSF patch intended to fix the aspect ratio and FOV for Laura's Happy Adventures (Pentium III version from late 1999), it supports 5:4, 15:9, 16:9, 16:10, 21:9 and 25:16 aspect ratios. Just drag and drop the files from the folder that corresponds to your aspect ratio. You will need dgVoodoo2 as well to run the game on modern Windows versions, as it doesn't start without it. Issues: - Objects keep disappearing in the sides when moving the camera around beyond the 4:3 safe area, but that will hopefully be fixed in the future. Credits also go to: czarman Password: pcgw

Note: A standalone solution for the Director's Cut edition is now available. The tools allow for support of any display aspect ratio and real-time FOV adjustment in Death Stranding. The gameplay and engine-rendered cutscenes will properly fill the screen, while the state of the pre-rendered cutscenes will depend on the used solution. Option 1: A trainer automatically detecting any resolution and allowing to make the zoomed pre-rendered cutscenes 16:9. Left alignment of the pre-rendered cutscenes is a known issue. The tool also allows to adjust FOV at any aspect ratio. Unpack the archive - the password is pcgw Launch the game, followed by the trainer Press the desired keys - ideally from the main menu and before any cutscenes Go to Graphics Settings and select your resolution under 21:9 Correcting the aspect ratio may require switching to 16:9 in Graphics Settings, then back to 21:9. Option 2: The known ultrawide solution made into patchers limited to common wide resolutions and keeping the pre-rendered cutscenes zoomed. Tested on the latest Steam version at 1920x1080, 2560x1080, 3440x1440, 3840x1080 and 5760x1080 (HUD is spanned). I may have been the first to discover the common sense aspect ratio change solution (as seen on the WSGF Discord), but I am certainly not the one who published the bytes first (looks like it was FasterThanFTL). As such, I am not taking any credit for the patchers but you can buy me a coffee or support me on Patreon for the trainer built over many hours of 100% unique research, calculations and code.

This RAR file contains modified Engine.dll files that fix the FOV and aspect ratio without having to change FOV or resolution ingame or through config files. Supports the following aspect ratios: 16:9, 16:10, 21:9, 32:9, 48:9. This fixes both the camera and weapon FOVs, unlike the FOV workaround through User.ini, which only fixes the camera FOV.
