Press Alt+Tab in the game, then return, or apply any in-game resolution if the fix does not work immediately. All trainers containing CE components may trigger some anti-virus software. Download the included trainer and unpack it with software like PeaZip. The password is pcgw Launch the game, then the tool. Press the shown keys to remove the black bars and adjust FOV as desired. Alternatively, for the DRM-free version, use the included aspect ratio patchers to target \BloodstainedRotN\Binaries\Win64\BloodstainedRotN-Win64-Shipping.exe within the game folder. To avoid upscaling, edit %LOCALAPPDATA%\BloodstainedRotN\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini and at the end add ResolutionSizeX=YOUR_WIDTH ResolutionSizeY=YOUR_HEIGHT and set FullscreenMode=0 Changing game settings may reset the above. Unpack the archive - the password is pcgw Launch the game, followed by the tool. Press the key as instructed to enable and disable the solution in real time. Press Alt+Enter twice or switch to a different window mode and back for proper application. Known issues (as with the existing solution): Pre-rendered cutscenes are stretched. Post-process effects scale improperly, resulting in washed out image the wider it gets. Tested the latest Microsoft Store / Game Pass version at 2560x1080 and 7680x1080. The latter was significantly affected by blurred effects and missing shadows / ambient occlusion. Using MSAA is not recommended, as it causes additional washout - even without modifications, at 16:9. For the Microsoft Store version, Download and unpack the applicable archive using the password pcgw Launch the game, followed by the tool. Press the button as shown to toggle the black bars off and on. For Steam, Unpack the Shipping exe found in /CotH/Binaries/Win64/ with Steamless (like this). Download the applicable archive from here and patch the unpacked file renamed to match the original. Simply patching should work for any other versions.
