About This File

Download the archive, unpack it with 7zip or similar software, then point the patcher matching your aspect ratio at \TSCGame\Binaries\Win64\TSCGame-Win64-Shipping.exe within the game folder.

This will match the FOV to the default 16:9 vertical value and remove the pillarboxing from the dialogue scenes.

Tested at 2560x1080, 3440x1440, 3840x1080 and 5760x1080.

Could you please update this mode as it seems pillarboxing in dialog scenes is back in new Origin version of the game.

Game play fix still works fine.

Hi. I don't have the game on Origin. Can you upload the Shipping exe?

Thanks. Going by the exe alone, I am not seeing the old bytes at all. It's either that the game code has changed significantly, or more likely to be a form of Origin DRM. If it is the latter, it should still be possible to memory hack the game but I can't do it without running that version of it.

Shoot. Do you have an Origin Premier by any chance? Because the game is free for the subscribers.

Thanks for looking in to that anyway, Rose.

This game is super weird. I've noticed that besides black bars in dialogs the position of the characters is super wierd. sometimes they located right on the edge of the screen or quiet often camera shows back of the main character and the second character is covered behind and not visible to the player at all. I was watching last years ultrawide gameplays and it wasn't the case. Characters position and overall dialog framing was nice and clean, usual over the shoulder cameras framing each of the characters nicely. Maybe it's related to the fact that game doesn't work in ultrawide peoperly by default. But I never saw the it may affect character position and overall camera angles

hi,

thanks for your time and efforts.

sorry to bother you, but i wondered is it possible to play this game from a first person perspective view employing a mode?  i mean nothing too perfect or polished, just something like first person mods for re2 remake or mafia:definitive edition.

Could you please make this work with the 2024 ver. of the game! My anti-virus wouldn't make the fov changer work and this patcher is outdated for 2024 ver. Many thanks ahead.

The FOV changer removes the black bars and corrects the FOV. I don't see much value in a repackage just to hope it doesn't get flagged by the AV suites. You can send the file to your AV vendor for a manual review or exclude it from its scans.

This is a probably dumb question, but... Rose, just to make sure, you would not happen to have an app as like Flawless Widescreen bringing together all your mods, have you?

I think I have all of them listed on my Ko-fi page, searchable if you scroll all the way down first. Most of my new ones are on my UltrawideIndex repo.

Over the years, I've gone for multiple different approaches, from sharing the bytes publicly, guides, patchers built via at least two different frameworks, trainers, self-compiled DLLs, FWS scripts, and at least one using the game's own mod system. The variety of approaches would make it hard if not impossible to distribute the hundreds of solutions via a single app. It would also have to be written from scratch, while I'd rather focus on the fixing than the writing.

Ahh I see. Even so, thank you so much for doing this, for considering ways to distribute and everything else. Also thanks for replying to my post so fast hahah I understand nothing about this that you do, sorry if I sounded ungrateful, wasn't my intention at all as it was not to make your work sound easy by wondering about this. I had no idea. Again, thank you, Rose.
