    Omen of Sorrow Ultrawide mod

    Version 0.0.4

    2 downloads

Download the archive intended for your aspect ratio, unpack it and replace the original exe found in \UMonster\Binaries\Win64\ within the game folder. This should remove the pillarboxing from the menus and the gameplay. Tested at 2560x1080 and 3840x1080 with the latest EGS game version kindly provided by cheswick of /r/ultrawidemasterrace. Support with a donation here.
  2. Version 3709.4

    561 downloads

Download the archive, unpack it with 7zip or similar software, then point the patcher matching your aspect ratio at \TSCGame\Binaries\Win64\TSCGame-Win64-Shipping.exe within the game folder. This will match the FOV to the default 16:9 vertical value and remove the pillarboxing from the dialogue scenes. Tested at 2560x1080, 3440x1440, 3840x1080 and 5760x1080.
  3. Version June 24

    241 downloads

These patchers created for 2560x1080, 3440x1440 and 32:9 resolutions will remove the black bars from the game. Unpack the archive with 7zip or similar software, then only use the patcher matching your resolution to modify the game executable.
  4. Version 1.0.2.100

    1,882 downloads

This tiny patch will unlock the 21:9 aspect ratio in the game menu, allowing to select ultrawide and many other resolutions under "???" for extra FOV. Option 1: Download globalgamemanagers and paste it over the original file in \OuterWilds_Data\ found in the game folder. Option 2: Download the patcher archive, unpack it with 7zip or similar software, then use it to patch the original file in the aforementioned game folder.
  5. Version 1.21

    3,553 downloads

The mod removes all pillarboxing (for ultrawide and multimonitor users) and letterboxing (for regular monitor users). Option 1: Download the modified wwzRetailEgs.exe to replace the original game .exe found in \en_us\client\bin\pc\ within the game folder. Option 2: Use 7zip or similar software to unpack the patcher archive, then point it at the game exe. The solution is essentially approved by the developers that said it won't be bannable, then pinned the message on their official Discord.
  6. Rose

    The Sinking City FOV changer

    Version 3709.4

    793 downloads

Unpack the archive (password is pcgw), then use the trainer to modify the game FOV in real time. Make sure to run the game first to let the program detect it. A game update will likely break this.
  7. Version 1.05

    2,630 downloads

  8. Version 1.0.6

    3 downloads

This small mod will unlock extra resolutions in the game and remove the pillarboxing (black bars) on a 21:9 monitor. Unpack the archive, then copy its contents to the game folder. Make sure it replaces the original files.
  9. Version June 19

    157 downloads

Unpack the archive and put the exe in \Octopath_Traveler\Binaries\Win64\ within the game folder, replacing the original. Launch the game and make sure your 21:9 resolution is selected. Tested with the latest Steam version, at 2560x1080.
  10. Version 1.3

    24 downloads

The mod removes letterboxing (horizontal black bars) from every episode of the game and from the menu. There are a few videos in the game files which have embedded black bars, so they will not be affected by the mod. In episode 1, the mod may also disable subtitles because they had been hidden behind the bottom black bar and would always appear otherwise. The mod was tested with the Epic Games store version 1.3. Unpack the archive, then copy and paste the folder to your game folder, replacing the original files when prompted.
  11. Version 113

    65 downloads

Replace the game .exe in \WindowsNoEditor\ctts\Binaries\Win64 with the modified .exe. This will result in the game's 21:9 FOV matching the default 16:9 FOV.
  12. Rose

Close to the Sun FOV changer

    Version 107

    153 downloads

Launch the game first, then run this tool. Use the buttons to decrease and increase the FOV.
