    In case you cannot use the patcher to update the game, you can edit the registry and insert the DMC3SE directory folder path on the "Path" values then Save.
    For example:
    "InstallPath" = "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\CAPCOM\\Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition" After you Open/Merge it, open the patcher again and it will show the ability to start the update as long as the executable is v1.2 below.

  4. GTA 2 - Music and Intro (For restoring the music and introduction in 11.44 fix)

    If you install GTA2 v11.44 (Unofficial), the fix can be installed separately, but then there won't be musics and introduction, requiring you to have a backup of music and intro files to drop inside the data folder of GTA 2. However, with this .zip folder, you only need to download GTAudio and Movie into 11.44's data folder, thus restoring the musics and introduction movie.

  5. Deus Ex - Mini patch collection

    This is a mini collection of essential fixes for Deus Ex (2000) which aims to provide a stable experience for
    people who wants to have an unaltered vanilla playthrough on modern systems.
    What's included:
    1- Launch: An alternative launcher made by Hanfling which provides resolution selection at startup, fixes for  game running at a non constant speed and disabling DEP. Doesn't feature the extensive customizations from Kentie's launcher but it's much more stable and isn't prone to crashes.
    2- OpenGL Renderer: A modern OpenGL renderer made by Hanfling which provides better compatibility for modern graphics cards, this is the recommended choice.
    3- Direct3D 9: An old but very stable DirectX 9 renderer made by Chris Dohnal, only use this one if you're having issues with OpenGL.
    4- Direct3D 10: An DirectX 10 renderer made by Kentie which provides more graphical features such as bump mapping, parallax occlusion, HDR lighting and bloom. Not recommended for Nvidia card users.
    Installation:
    Very simple process. Just drop the System folder from this zip to where Deus Ex is installed and overwrite files when prompted, and then you just start the game.

  6. Launcher skip (work around) for prince of persia ww and ttt (windows only)

    Short intro:
    So I'll start by saying this is more of a work around. I will explain why towards the end.
    The purpose of this is to make the games start up quicker through steam.
    The reason this works is that for the games to start the launcher just has to be running and it turns out that you can get steam to run .bat files at a games launch.
     
    How to install:
    You just need to copy both .bat files from the zip file to the games root directory and then add to steam game launch options either
    pop2launcherskip.bat %command% or
    pop3launcherskip.bat %command% depending on the game.
    Once you've done that you can just launch them through steam as usual.
    You should see a command prompt window then the game should just launch and you can play.
    If you decide you do not like how it works just delete the files and remove the launch options to return your game behavior to normal.
     
    Downsides:
    There are some slight downsides though to this method however, the steam overlay already does not work for me due to these games wanting admin access but if you've somehow got it working then it may not work with this.
    The script and the launcher will both stay open in the background until you close the game where they will also close. The launcher staying open after the game starts is purely so that steam tracks that you are playing the game.
     
     
    That's all the needed info, I'll now get into unneeded detail:
    Why only a work around?
    If you're wanting an actual way to not run the launcher then for the two thrones I believe the unofficial patch lets you run pop3.exe on its own.
    For warrior within I don't believe there is currently a solution other then legally dubious means.
     
    Specifics on how it works please:
    So you may be wondering why it needs two batch files. This is because it needs to run as administrator and steam gets very angry if you try to get the .bat file to request admin permissions.
    The dodgy work around is that the first batch file opens the second batch file as admin with powershell. I'm sure you could probably get powershell to do all the individual cmd tasks on its own but I couldn't work it out.
    But yes only the second batch file is technically required other then the admin issue.
    The second batch file first sets the current location as the folder it is in, then it starts the launcher and waits 1 second, after that the actual game is started, lastly it waits for the game to be closed and then closes the launcher.

  8. Beyond Good & Evil - Widescreen fix - version 3

    This is the newsest version of the widescreen fix for beyond good and evil as posted here and here.
    The version on the bg&e page is at least a year older then the newest one and doesn't look like its going to be updated anytime soon so I am uploading the newer version here to replace it.
    Extract the files to the same folder as BGE.exe. Use BGEResolutionSettings.exe to select resolution and be sure to set the same resolution in the game setup program.

  9. OpenAL 3D audio driver fix for Rune Classic

    Audio driver in Rune Classic is broken, and can lead to crashes during cutscenes in the Embers of Hrafnborg level. This file fixes the crash issue, but also as an added bonus, fixes spatial audio in the game as well.
    Installation instructions
    Navigate to the Rune Classic installation directory, and open the System folder; Open the Rune.ini file (make a backup of it first); Find and delete the [ALAudio.ALAudioSubsystem] section (renaming it also works), and save your changes; Download and extract the attached archive (OpenAL_v2.4.7_Rune.zip); Copy and paste all its folder contents in the Rune Classic > System folder.     This modification allows you to run Hitman: Contracts on a modern system in true widescreen resolution and the best visual quality. Tested on Windows 10 22H2 (x64).
     
    Installation:

    1. Download the archive, unzip it and copy the contents to your game folder (...\Steam\steamapps\common\Hitman Contracts), confirming the file replacement.

    2. Open the video driver control panel. In the Adjust Desktop Size and Position section, set the Scaling option to Full-screen (see screenshot).

    (Optional) By default, after installing the fix, the game runs at 1920x1080 (Full HD) resolution. If you want to change the resolution, open the file (...\Steam\steamapps\common\Hitman Contracts\scripts\h3.ini) with Notepad and change the Width and Height values.
    It is strongly recommended not to change the in-game graphics settings such as resolution to avoid conflicts.
    This fix provides the following features:
    Correct widescreen aspect ratio while maintaining the original field of view (FOV). Vsync is working and enabled by default. Ability to limit the frame rate through the video driver control panel (60 FPS limit is recommended). Ability to add anti-aliasing via SMAA, FXAA shaders in ReShade (DirectX 9 converter is already included in this fix). Fully stable solution with no crashes or graphics bugs.

    Important note for Windows LIVE users:
    If you play the game and use Games for Windows LIVE, I recommend disabling automatic sign-in to your profile. To do this, open the in-game Windows LIVE interface (press the Home button), then click on the left-most button (with your profile name and avatar) and select "Disable Auto Sign-In". After that there is no problem and you can still use your LIVE or offline profile. This mod works flawlessly with the Xliveless addon.

  21. Astalon - Tears of the Earth - FPS Unlocker

    This is a program to unlock the framerate in the game Astalon: Tears of the Earth. It's made with Cheat Engine so some Antivirus software will flag it. Extract the archive with the password pcgw

    The game has a forced 60 fps cap and no Vsync, and from my testing it also has issues with freesync/gsync so it's pretty bad. With this tool you can unlock the FPS which will eliminate input lag and get really smooth motion on camera panning. Since you will probably get 1000+ fps, if you want an fps limit use the Scanline Sync feature from Riva Tuner Statistics Server, which will cap it your refresh rate, eliminate judder and tearing with almost no input lag.
    Instructions:
    Extract the archive with the password pcgw Open the tool. Start the game. It should get patched automatically and you should hear a sound effect, otherwise press F1.

    Both zip-files provide the "DirectPlay" files needed to execute games that ask for them to work correctly. (One zip contains Windows XP DirectPlay, and the other contains Windows 10 Legacy DirectPlay, both do the same).
    * Important: Put all the files of one of the two zip-files in the same directory where the executable of the game is.

    Supported Version:
        -This mod requires the Steam 64 bits version of the game. The mod might not work with other versions.
    How to install:
        -Drag and drop DINPUT8.dll in the game folder file, should be something like: Steam\steamapps\common\Dishonored2
        -Launch the game as you would normally and you will hear 2 beeps that will confirm that the mod is now active.
            
    How to uninstall:
        -Delete DINPUT8.dll from the game folder file.
