SimCity 2000 compatibility patch

Patched executable to fix city saving/loading crashes in the Windows 95 version of SimCity 2000 on modern versions of Windows.
Extract to the installation folder, replacing the existing file when prompted.
This patch does not work for the Network Edition; use the SimCity 2000 Network Edition Interoperability Patch for that version.
This patched executable was made using a patch posted by MRC on Simcity 2000 on W7 x64 - Page 2 - Windows 7 Help Forums.

I have a weird issue where VRAM usage increases everytime the game reloads a level while using this. It seems related to the vt_restart command, which the tweaker uses by default everytime a level is reloaded, VRAM increases from 100mb to 1/2 GB depending on the textures sizes you're using, then it moves on to RAM and when that gets filled up too it leads to a game crash and system hang. This issue is not really related to the tweaker as i can replicate the issue by running the command manu -
Make the same fix for Reservoir Dogs. That game has super weird mouse & kb stuttering depending on fps -

This worked for me. I put the four files in my root/game sc3000 folder and it loaded right up. Nothing had to be replaced. No lag, No issues. My old cities from years ago run as they should 🙂 thanks. I actually made an acct here just to say thank you, This is win10 btw. I may update if it works on win11 too; I just wanted to post before forgetting. Already zipped the whole ~300MB working lot and saved to backup -

Just wanted to say that the fix works great! thanks. you gotta go to your anti virus program and allow it though! Also for anybody who has a screen with higher than 60hertz (refresh rate) and wants to cap it to 60 fps if you enable the the console and write R_swapinterval -1 the game will go to 60 fps but if you have a higher refreshrate it will still seem laggy, I went into the nvidia control panel > 3d settnings then select the game and at the bottom, you can set so the game decides re
