This patch is for the Network Edition only; for other Windows 95 editions use the SimCity 2000 Windows 7 patch.

SimCity 2000 compatibility patch

Patched executable to fix city saving/loading crashes in the Windows 95 version of SimCity 2000 on modern versions of Windows.
Extract to the installation folder, replacing the existing file when prompted.
This patch does not work for the Network Edition; use the SimCity 2000 Network Edition Interoperability Patch for that version.
This patched executable was made using a patch posted by MRC on Simcity 2000 on W7 x64 - Page 2 - Windows 7 Help Forums.

Correct, it should work automatically. Don't know about ReShade though, I don't use it. -
Hello. I have such a problem. I have a version from "GOG". I can't change the "save path". I've tried different ways, but nothing works. Prescribing my path - C:\Users\Admin\Documents\MGR But the save file is still done in the game folder... What am I doing wrong?

ITS WORKING Y'ALL! 🙂 As of 5/23/2025, this ultrawide fix works by editing one of the shader files used by Dead Cells. After extracting the mod (https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/2504-dead-cells-ultrawide-fix/), in each folder (only need 1 of the 4), you should have three files and one folder: d3d11.dll d3dx.ini nvapi64.dll ShaderFixes (folder) Inside the ShaderFixes folder, there will be a file named: cc2a82ee0453aea8-vs_replace.txt -

I'll take a look into it. UPDATE: here's a very work in progress. Give it a try. No exe patching needed, but you need to update to version 1.1 of the game, check the Wiki for the official patch. This preliminary release does: Fix Resolution and Refresh Rate values.
