    Installation:
    ----------------
    1. Make the game "No One Lives Forever 2" upgrade to version 1.3
    2. Unzip and Run the patch.
     
    The patch will update the files in the folder with the game: NOLF2.exe and Lithtech.exe
    Also the file Update_v1x3_GUI will be added.
     
    How to play.
    -----------------
    For the Game "No One Lives Forever 2"
    set the compatibility mode to Windows XP SP2
    Right-click on the icon of the game - Properties - Compatibility
     
    Remove:

    To return to the original graphic interface, run the patch mode "Reset Default"

    ---------------
    1. The title page of the English.
    2. Your old file NOLF2.exe and Lithtech.exe is not saved.
    Archive it (if necessary) on their own.

    How to play Multiplayer NOLF2:
    ------------------------------
    Install all modes, run the game, press the button with a circular arrow to search for servers.
    Select a server, specify the mode of the server. Then press the "Custom" button,
    check the selected mode, Ok. Then click on the selected server, Play - Ok
    If you created your server, then connect to your server need only via the LAN.
     
    You can also connect to the servers Nolf, Nolf2, Contract JACK
    via the browser game servers Qtracker http://www.qtracker.com/
     
    Note
    ------
    Nolf_Nolf2_CJ_hosts_Patch re-translates requests from the games NOLF, NOLF2, Contract J.A.C.K. on the master server Qtracker instead of the master server GameSpy (disabled now) with the same protocol.

    - Removes the 2000 limit on the 'viewdist' command line parameter.
    - Removes the zoom-out limit in the F9 view
    - Removes the zoom-in limit in the F9 view
    - Removes 100 ... 500 limit on FOV F12 command line parameter (250 is default).
    - Lengthened the vehicle popup distance so vehicles appear sooner. (NB CE must be set to high detail for this to work)
    - Fixed CE hanging intermittently upon exiting the torpedo boat.
    - Fixed Font scaling at higher resolutions so text does not overlap and it can be clearly read.
    - Similarly fixed the version display on the level load screen so it can be read at higher resolutions.
    - Show teammates "T" in the tab map
    - Fixed bug in the scripting function "REFGetPlayerInx(PlayerNr, Inx)" to allow it to handle undefined PlayerNr's

    Increases framerate from 30FPS to 60FPS, also allows for widescreen
     
    "Just extract the files to the game folder. You don't need to do anything other than select a widescreen resolution in the configuration dialog -- it will work automatically once this is installed.
    The framerate cap can be changed in the .ini file (it's set to 60 FPS by default). I wouldn't recommend setting it much higher because the game will start behaving oddly. 60 FPS works mostly normally, though I've noticed that Raziel can jump slightly higher than usual. You can also enable debug keys in the .ini to speed up game time (useful for cutscenes you've seen a million times), possess monsters or show the debug menu."

    Features:
    -Pick supported widescreen resolutions in the display menu.
    -Set horizontal FOV in display.cfg, vertical, menu, weapon and cutscene FOV are calculated automatically.
    -Splashscreen, Menus and HUD elements are scaled and positioned properly and dont stretch anymore.
    -Automatic crosshair scaling and manual tweaking. Previously it had a fixed resolution and didnt scale at all.
     

    Installation:
    1. Put the "WidescreenPatch" folder in "Custom\Mods" in the NOLF2 directory.
    2. Run the launcher, click on "Custom" and check "WidescreenPatch"
    3. Start the game, go to display and select the desired resolution.
    4. Open the display.cfg file. If you havent previously launched the game with the patch enabled, the lines mentioned below wont be present and you can add them manually.
    5. The line "FOV" controls the horizontal FOV,you can set it however you want. For 16:9 I suggest "90.0".

    6. The cutscene letterbox scales automatically, if you are unsatistfied with the size, change the "LetterboxPercent" value.
    7. Open then the autoexect.cfg file.
    8. The line "CrosshairSize" changes the crosshair size.
    9. The Line "RightHUDPush" can be used to offset the HUD elements on the right to the edge of the screen. For 16:9 "30" is a good value.
    Enjoy the game!
     

    Known Problems:
    -With a large display width the loadingscreen text may be cut off at the side.
    This is due to the text being scaled with the resolution and background with the FOV.
    -With a larger display width Kate will freeze before walking and afterwards disappear.
    This is because the user was not expected to see such a wide region of the menu.
    -Some menu elements dont line up with the box they are supposed to be in.
    This is because their positions are calculated differently. That might be fixed in the future.

    This patch is mandatory for players who wish to continue to playing online after May 31, 2014. The online server browser will no longer function after this date unless you install this update.
     
    Changelog
    Nightfire now supports dynamic lights, the ability to download new custom maps off servers automatically when joining. Also, the game will notify you if there is a new update available and ask you if you would like to install it. Includes improvements to netcode, fixes numerous problems that would cause the game to crash to desktop, improves frame rate, heavily reduces lag and disconnects while playing multiplayer, adds the ability to change the field of view for widescreen monitors. The console is also enabled automatically when installing this patch. Many other improvements over the years have been made as well.

    Installation

    This patch does not require the CD to launch the game and will work with any version of the game. It is fully compatible with older servers, unlike the older 1.1 patch.
