Star Wars: Episode I – Battle for Naboo – 64-bit Installer With Optional Modern Game Fixes This is a complete, preservation-grade 64-bit replacement installer for the original 1999 PC release, rebuilt from scratch for modern versions of Windows. This is the definitive way to install and play Star Wars: Episode I – Battle for Naboo on modern hardware, with full widescreen support, DX9 translation, stability fixes (all optional), and resolution unlocking. The original retail PC release uses a 16-bit Windows installer, which will not run on any 64-bit version of Windows. This makes the game effectively un-installable on modern systems. To preserve the game, the installer was fully rebuilt into a native 64-bit modern version that works on all current Windows versions, requires the original retail disc, recreates the full install logic, and optionally applies modern fixes and enhancements. Features included in this fix Full 64-bit replacement installer Requires the original retail disc Recreates full install logic Widescreen and modern resolution unlock DX7 to DX9 translation Thruster fix for >60Hz ASI Loader support Folder permission repair ChipResolution custom resolution support How to use Download Fix. Mount your original game disc. Launch the installer and browse to the root of the disc (e.g. D:). Follow the on-screen prompts. A desktop shortcut will be created automatically. Requirements You must own the original English retail PC CD. No game files are distributed. Mount the disc before running the installer. Common mount locations: D:\ E:\ F:\ Modern Fix Pack (Optional) In the installer you can uncheck the option for the fixes and install only the base game. ElishaCloud’s DXWrapper (D3D7 → D3D9) Adds anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, DX7 to DX9 translation, optional window mode through dxwrapper.ini, and a fix for the thruster bug. ThirteenAG’s Ultimate ASI Loader Automatically loads all included .asi plugins. UCyborg’s Legacy D3D Resolution Hack Unlocks modern GPU resolutions including 1080p, 1440p, ultrawide, and full 4K. Full Folder Permission Repair Automatically removes read-only attributes, fixes NTFS permissions, allows editing INI files, and prevents write errors. ChipResolution – Custom Resolution Support Allows entering resolutions directly, such as: 1920x1080 Suggestion It seems that the game does not like to go past 1920 x 1080 so just leave the configuration files as they are set up for you. If you change any settings it is done so at your own risk. Controller Support Works automatically with no additional configuration needed. The game includes native controller functionality. Rebind controls inside the game’s options menu. After Patch 9 (current version) users with 8 GB VRAM or less may experience broken textures and meshes in the game. To fix this use one of the three files provided and extract it to "<gamedirectory>\SwGame\Content\Paks\". The following files are included: z_targetheadroom.pak The main fix: Keeps everything default but sets MemoryTargetHeadroomMb to 100MB. Normally defaults to "0". z_targetheadroom_lowered_textures.pak Same as above but with lowered texture resolution because the in-game texture setting is broken when this bug occurs and users with low-end GPUs may want improved performance. z_improved_meshes.pak Keeps the low-res textures but gives meshes its own memory space to fully load. So vegetation and objects load correctly but the textures are still broken (which in turn provides a higher performance).

These files were included in the bonus disc of Prima's strategy guide for X-Wing Alliance. I have also uploaded these files to the Internet Archive here (https://archive.org/details/x-wing-alliance-strategy-guide-bonus-cd-files). Included are the skirmish files, the in-game flight camera recordings for each mission, and the game patch that includes the in-game flight camera. The patch executable (xwaupd20.exe) is added for completion. xwaupd202.exe is the latest patch executable for X-Wing Alliance. The latest patch is included in the game download on digital storefronts such as Steam and GOG.

Original source: Game Front This is the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords High Quality Music Patch. An officially released patch, it increases the sample rate of the soundtrack from 11,025 Hz to 44,100 Hz. Note that this patch is not required for the Steam or Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Collection 2 DVD versions of the game.

The Dark Tide is arguably the most popular campaign mod for Star Wars: Dark Forces. These archives contain all known "official" content related to the tetralogy of mods. Episodes 1-4 are the main campaign, and require Dark Forces to run. The Force Engine and DarkXL are also supported, although not required. Beyond the Ancient is the bonus material released after Episode 4. It contains scrapped content from Episode 5, and even has some playable levels. Twilight on Tatooine is a multiplayer map for Jedi Academy, and as such requires Jedi Academy to run. It is inspired by the second episode, and includes compositions from the mod intermixed with music from the classic trilogy and Shadows of the Empire. The soundtrack was unfortunately only released for the first two episodes. Nonetheless, it was released in General MIDI format, so I have converted it to Apple Lossless using an SC-55 soundfont and properly tagged it (I recommend dBpoweramp if you need FLACs). The original .mid files are also included, as well as the nice track from Twilight on Tatooine. Originally downloaded from df-21.net and an archived version of the official Dark Tide website.

This is a collection of the most important and useful fixes for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on Steam in one centralised, and easy to download file. The collection contains: 40, 50, 60 and Unlimited FPS executable files originally created by PCGamingwiki Moderator "Garrett" that can replace the game's original .exe file to play at the desired framerate. Config files for playing in 1440p and 4K with Cloth Simulation enabled which can simply be dragged into the user's "Appdata" directory. Replacement "LevelPack" contents to fix missing sounds for levels near the end of the game, originally created by Steam user "Sweetz". A READ ME.txt file with easy to follow installation instructions. Thanks to the original contributors for making this game playable for so many people over the years - have fun! 😄

  11. I just watched this properly and I think it is impressive how well Repawn has graphically presented the Star Wars look and feel. However the overall gameplay looks incredibly generic and boring, especially when we know what a studio like Respawn is capable of. The enemy AI for the Stormtroopers looks braindead and the fights look boring. And there’s too much platforming/traversing in this demo that isn’t interesting. One of the first proper PC games I played online was Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight, and I’m not sure if it’s the nostalgia but it feels like later games on that series had more interesting lightsaber action and fighting and certainly this game looks dull in comparison.

These are both demos for Star Wars: Jedi Knight - Mysteries of the Sith. The installers for the demos are 16-bit only, so I have taken the liberty of repackaging them as a .zip archive instead. MotSDemo contains the regular demo containing the first level, and Sith_PCG is a demo containing the second level, which came exclusively in a PC Gamer magazine demo disc. Note that the PC Gamer demo has a disc check; to play it you will need to mount MotS.iso, which is a trimmed down version of the original demo disc that can be found in the same directory as the executable. This can be done natively in Windows 10, 8.1, and 8; Windows 7 and earlier users will need a mounting software such as WinCDEmu. Enhancements.zip contains the higher quality sound effects and necessary High Detail Mod files (reorganized to work with the demo). Unfortunately, Mysteries of the Sith is pickier with redbook audio than Dark Forces II, so I was unable to add the proper background music. The patched version of Battlefront II that supports multiplayer over Galaxy does not include the original icon. For convenience (so that you don't need to manually rollback to the older version to grab the exe), I have extracted the icons from the original executable and provided them for download here. Battlefront II.ico contains all the original icons from the original executable. Setting a shortcut icon to use this icon should work the same way as setting it to use the original .exe. Battlefront II_256.ico and Battlefront II_512.ico are the same as Battlefront II.ico, except the contain versions of the highest resolution original resized using integer scaling to multiple higher resolutions, with the highest resolution for each being 256x256 and 512x512, respectively. They are provided so that the icons are nice and big if your desktop is set to Large Icons or File Explorer is set to Extra-Large Icons. Battlefront II Remastered.ico is extracted from the installer for Battlefront II Remastered. Battlefront II Remastered_256.ico is the same icon, but upscaled to 256x256 using waifu2x.

By default, the GOG release (and probably the Steam release) of Galactic Battlegrounds Saga includes music, but rather than using the CD Audio from the Clone Campaigns expansion disc or the second disc of the "Galactic Battlegrounds Saga" combo re-release, it uses the CD Audio from the original 2001 release. This means that the audio track that plays during gameplay is 7 minutes and 28 seconds shorter and doesn't contain any music from Attack of the Clones. The music here has been ripped from the second disc of the "Galactic Battlegrounds Saga" release of the game, put through an error checker, and converted to a 500 kbps Ogg Vorbis file. To use in the GOG release of the game, simply extract the contents of the RAR archive to the installation folder using 7-Zip or WinRAR.

Star Wars Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast HD level loading screens ------------------------------------------------ by ND (Quiet Bob @ PCGW) This is a set of high-resolution loading screens for Jedi Outcast, for both mission mode and multiplayer levels. My aim was to replace the default set - which is extremely low-resolution - with better visuals, while staying as close to the original as possible. Loading screens in Jedi Outcast are basically screenshots of the levels. I recaptured them in full HD. These images were later rescaled to work in-game. I used high quality conversion in an effort to preserve most detail. The end result are loading screens which are of 16x higher resolution: the default set is only 256x256, mine are 1024x1024. I substituted two of the loading screens. The original ones used for Cairn: Bay and Yavin: Temple are taken from pre-rendered low-res FMVs. Since these can't be captured in high quality, I replaced them with in-engine screenshots from the corresponding levels. I also added a loading screen for Nar Shaddaa: Streets. Before and after image comparison: --------------------------------------------- Installation ------------ Just place the file Jedi_Outcast_HD_loading_screens.pk3 in your GameData\base\ directory. Enjoy!

Exactly what the description says. The patcher was originally downloaded from someone's personal Dropbox that was linked to in the wiki article for the game. I uploaded it here for posterity and preservation. It's based on the code for the Age of Empires 2 widescreen patch. A thorough ReadMe document is given to explain what needs to be with the contents of the zip file.
