  1. Version 1.2

    2,786 downloads

The game features FMVs and rendered cutscenes that get pillarboxed at 21:9 and wider resolutions. This patcher removes the black bars from the rendered cutscenes and has no effect on the FMVs as there is no way to hack a pre-recorded video to add more content. Simply unpack the archive and patch the main game exe. Tested on the latest Steam version at 2560x1080 and briefly at 5760x1080 in both DX modes. You can support me on patreon. More fixes and ways to support here.

This RAR file contains modified Engine.dll files that fix the FOV and aspect ratio without having to change FOV or resolution ingame or through config files. Supports the following aspect ratios: 16:9, 16:10, 21:9, 32:9, 48:9. This fixes both the camera and weapon FOVs, unlike the FOV workaround through User.ini, which only fixes the camera FOV. You need dgVoodoo2 as well (I won't explain here how to set it up, I'll assume you already know it). 3. Unpack the archive Copy all files to the game folder, binkw32.dll should be replaced In the Settings.ini file, you can change the following settings [FPS] Limit = 60 FPS limiter value Unlock = 0 Value - 1 disables FPS limiter To achieve better performance at high FPS, it is better to disable the internal FPS limiter of the game. Use Vsync or external FPS limiter to limit FPS. This game is designed to work at a constant speed, so you must have a stable FPS, otherwise you will notice a slowdown or acceleration of the game speed. Example for 120 FPS with Vsync or external FPS limiter [FPS] Limit = 120 Unlock = 1 Example for 144 FPS with Vsync or external FPS limiter [FPS] Limit = 144 Unlock = 1 [RESOLUTION] Width = 0 Height = 0 This setting can override game's horizontal and vertical resolution Example for 1920x1080 resolution [RESOLUTION] Width = 1920 Height = 1080 [GAMMA] ColorCorrection = 1 Value - 0 disables color correction Use this setting to get more natural colors [TEXTURES] ShadowMapSize = 1024 Increase this value to get better shadows quality 256 - min value 8192 - max value Lighting = 384 Increase this value to avoid artifacts in some cases 256 - the min value 8192 - the max value

The tools remove black bars from the in-game cutscenes. Option 1 (reliable; pillarboxing removal): Download and unpack the patcher archive. Use the included tool to patch engine_x64_rwdi.dll inside the main game folder. Re-patch in the event of a game update. This solution has no effect on letterboxing, retaining the native vert- behavior compared to 16:9. Option 2 (less reliable; removes all black bars): Download and unpack the trainer with software like 7zip (password is pcgw). Launch the game, then the tool. Press the F keys as instructed to remove all black bars. Tested on the latest Steam version at 2560x1080, 5120x1440 and 3840x2160. You can buy me a coffee or become a patron. My newest fixes are available here.
