Space Siege - DVD Recognition Fix

Some Space Siege users have reported DVD recognition problems when using certain drives on Windows Vista SP1. (error message: "Insert the correct DVD-ROM") This update fixes that issue.
NOTE: If you are not experiencing this specific issue, you do not need this update.
1. Find your current SpaceSiege.exe in the Program Files folder and rename it to SpaceSiegeOLD.exe
2. Download this patch and unzip it in a temporary folder of your choice.
3. Put the new version SpaceSiege.exe into the same directory as the old one.
4. Launch Game.

EuroFighter Typhoon v2.1 Patch (Both files)

The Typhoon patch contains two files. The first part is the 2.1 version of Eurofighter Typhoon, which fixes a number of problems that have been found in the game. The second part of the patch is a registry entry which may or may not need to be installed on your system, and is explained in the additional information section.
Installation Instructions (Typhoon Patch)
Note: If you try to install this patch straight after running Typhoon without restarting your computer it may not install correctly. To ensure correct installation you should restart your computer before installing the patch.
To install the patch you need to double click on the typhoonpatch.exe file. This will install the patch to the default Typhoon installation folder - C:\Program Files\Rage Software\Eurofighter Typhoon. If you have not installed the game to this folder you should click on browse and locate the correct folder.
When you have located the correct folder, click on the Install button. This will install the patch.
In a few moments a prompt box will appear asking if you want to add the information to the registry. You should click NO and see if the Joystick works correctly in the game. If it doesn't then simply run this patch again and when prompted answer Yes.
After this is done the patch is installed.
Double click on your Typhoon desktop shortcut to run the game.
The patch works with the European AND US versions of the game.
FIXES
Fixes all known Joystick and Throttle problems.
Fixes Windows XP compatibility problems.
Fixes all previous bugs.
EUROFIGHTER TYPHOON REGISTRY PATCH
(12/3/2002)
If after installing the patch your joystick still doesn't work as expected can you please download the following file.
The registry file from the Typhoon patch may not be required for all users, and if installed may cause certain types of controller to not work. This patch contains a registry file, which will remove the registry entry that the Typhoon patch can install. You only need to run this file if you have installed the latest Typhoon patch and selected Yes to install the registry entries and found that your joystick still doesn't work.
Installation Instructions (Registry Patch)
To install the patch you need to double click on the typhoon_registry_fix.exe file. This will install the patch to the default Typhoon installation folder - C:\Program Files\Rage Software\Eurofighter Typhoon. If you have not installed the game to this folder you should click on browse and locate the correct folder.
When you have located the correct folder, click on the Install button. This will activate the registry fix.
In a few moments a prompt box will appear asking if you want to add the information to the registry. You must click YES to add the entries to the registry, if you don't this file will not work.
The registry entries in this patch will only remove an entry from the Typhoon section of the Registry and will not adjust any other settings.

Thanks, looks like a single hex pattern was different between the exe files (I adjusted the pattern so it's the same for both exes), the dlls both have the same patterns, so those are fine. Try the new version I uploaded, I think it might work this time. -

That's unfortunate. Could you send your trend.dll and SpaceHaste.exe files? They must be different in the Steam version, since I only made this fix on the retail one. -
Doesn't work. I've added both files to root folder, added dinput8 from asi loader, added winmm.dll too, set 2560*1080 with fov factor 1.2 - game continues to work in default 800*600. Tried on Steam version

First, thank you for this patch! I've been playing with v1 of your patch for years. That said, I've been having trouble with getting this patch to load successfully in some cases. I think it has something to do with the location, or with some metadata that Windows has attached to the location. For example, I have a working installation in "C:\Games\COD2". I can tell that the patch is working fine by e.g. enabling WindowedMode or NoStartupBlackscreen. I copy-paste that working folder to
