    Usage
     
    Use [Numpad *] to set value to 85, [CTRL] to 95 or 105 with [ALT] or 68.33000183 (default) with [CTRL]+[ALT]. Use [Numpad -] and [Num +] to increase/decrease value by 1 or 5 with [CTRL] or 10 with [ALT]. Check the FOV box on the left to prevent the value from changing. All values can be changed by editing the hotkeys on the FOV variable line (right click it then CTRL+H to show the hotkeys menu).

    Copy renderer_rmdwin7_f.dll and renderer_rmdwin10_f.dll to <path-to-game>.

    This guide describes how the .dll files were edited. The process can be done on .dll files that have already been edited for other purposes. Credits to DarthSidious666 for creating the guide and providing screenshots for comparison.

  6. After the End crash workaround (Access violation)

    The zip file contains files that serves as a workaround and a bypass for the Access violation error that happens in After the End when trying to complete Mission 42 and other bugged missions mentioned in its page in PCGamingWiki, method 1 involves playing the broken level and finishing it as is, which is intended for players who want to use their own save, this is done by installing an older trial version of the game and opening the save on a broken level the player has in it, the dll included within the method1 folder is a dgVoodoo D3D8 wrapper which can be used if in case the mission still can't be played, while method 2 involves skipping the broken missions altogether, which is for players who don't mind using an another save, method 3 is a newly discovered method which is used along with method 1, it fixes the black floor bug which one will get when playing on the older version of After the End which involves swapping the resource.tdf file.

  14. Deadly Premonition Save File Collection

    I heard somewhere that this game sometimes can corrupt it's save file (I think it happens the most on chapter 9) so, since chapter 6 I've been playing and backing up my save files.
    I think it might be useful to post them here so, if it happens to anyone, there's a save file to use.

    Just rename the save file you want to "DP" and then put it on "Deadly Premonition The Director's Cut\savedata"(game_root_folder/savedata).

    The tool allows to change the first-person FOV in real time and exceed the limit of 120. For convenience, it is also bundled with existing solutions, including FOV fixes and the cutscenes fix for ultrawide resolutions, so not all of the functions may be compatible with an already patched exe.
    Download the archive and unpack it with software like PeaZip using the password pcgw Launch the game, followed by the tool. Press the hotkeys as instructed to enable or disable the fixes in real time. All trainers containing CE components may trigger some anti-virus software.
    Contains the interactions FOV fix and ultrawide fixes based on killer-m's work, as well as an FOV check fix from Wintermance.

    Tested the latest Ubisoft Connect version at 2560x1080, 2560x1440 and 5760x1080.

    The tool corrects the reduced field of view at the cutscenes at 21:9 and wider resolutions, and allows to bypass the game's max resolution checks, making it support resolutions like 5120x1440.
    Download the archive and unpack it with software like PeaZip using the password pcgw Launch the game, followed by the tool. Press the FOV key to correct it in real time (undoing will require a cutscene restart) Press the force resolution key, then select and apply any resolution if the game does not support yours. All trainers containing CE components may trigger some anti-virus software.
    Tested the latest Game Pass version at 2560x1080, briefly at 5120x1440, 3840x1080 and 5760x1080.

    It includes also non-widescreen resolutions.

    Files "options.sav" with some common resolutions (1280x720, 1280x800, 1280x1024, 1360x768, 1366x768, 1440x900, 1600x900, 1920x1080, 1920x1200).
    The width in "options.sav" is answered by two bytes: 0x0E and 0x0F.
    And by height at a distance of two from the width: 0x12 and 0x13.
    There you can enter any resolution in hex-form, and the game should work fine.

    Download Widescreen fix. Open POP3D_Widescreen_Resolutions.zip. Extract options.sav from any resolution folder to POP3D directory.

    Download modified HUD.xml. Navigate to <path-to-game>\gamesdk. Backup gamedata.pak. Open gamedata.pak as an archive with 7-zip. Inside the archive navigate to Libs/UI/UIElements. Drag and drop newly downloaded HUD.xml to 7-zip window to override HUD.xml inside of the archive. Run the game with a centered HUD.

    I haven't fully tested it but it's looking good ...
