Hi, do we need special tools or something for installing this on a Steam Deck or Linux? There is an alternative to use the bat file?

You need to set up an overwrite for dinput8.dll and winmm.dll. Also, I advice to not copy the d3d8.dll and d3d9.dll, since most of the compatibility layers on Linux have DXVK built-in. As for the .bat file, it just installs compatibility database, which shouldn't be needed on Linux (but try to set Wine into the Windows XP compatibility mode).

So with WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8,winmm=n,b" %command% should work? or WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8,winmm=n,b" on Heroic?

I tried using BR3+ but everytime i run the game, both the game and BR3_Config.exe crash and never open, even though vanilla BR3 works perfectly fine.

I simply follows the instructions and yet i keep getting this problem, did i do something wrong?

What's your GPU? Sounds like it doesn't support Vulkan.

It's Intel HD Graphics 520.

Yeeeaaahhh... It doesn't support Vulkan 1.3, on which DXVK relies. You should have better luck with something like d3d8to9.

Nope, that also didn't work, guess i'll stick with the vanilla version.

Thanks for replying, anyway.

Strange. Are you running WIndows 10 or higher? And have you read the ReadMe properly? There are some troubleshooting instructions.

Very strange indeed. I honestly am not sure how to help you. You might try removing those d3d dlls and play in native DX8 mode. Also, check if antivirus haven't blocked any files in the game's folder.

Huh, the game finally opened and ran perfectly after i deleted "d3d8.dll" and "d3d9.dll", is there a huge difference between native DX8 mode and d3d8/9 mode?

Well, it's not as well supported as newer DirectX versions or Vulkan, so you might have some framerate drops here and there, but overall it should work fine.

Hi there, would it be possible to add support for a Polish dub? The files for it are available on pcgamingwiki, but actually getting them to work is such a pain.

1. No, Polish dub is too big.
2. I'm the creator of this language package. What's wrong with it?

Too big? Why? What makes them bigger and harder to implement then let's say, the Italian dub?

The fact that Polish dub is baked into the level files, so I would have to publish pretty much the whole game here. Also, Polish dub overwrites English one and BR+ is made with official translations in mind in the first place instead of semi-official translations made by local publishers. Plus, you haven't responded to the second point.

Well that's shame. Was really hoping for there to be a proper way to implement it into BR3, so there wouldn't be the headache of manually putting files into the game files and having them not work anyway.

The reason I haven't responded to ur 2nd point is because I did not know what you were specifically referring to, but I assume you were responsible for putting the Polish files on pcgamingwiki?

Yes, I'm responsible for putting those files on PCGW. Let me guess, it doesn't work for you, because you haven't ran the included .bat file.
