8Doors: Arum's Afterlife Adventure ultrawide mod 0.1

About This File

The small patcher forces the game to use the desktop resolution, removing the black bars at 21:9. Disregard the resolution shown in the settings after patching.

Partial UI cropping is a known issue typical to Unity games but the game appears to be fully playable at 21:9 despite the barely visible health bar. Wider resolutions would likely cause important elements to disappear altogether.

Tested the latest GOG version at 2560x1080.

The tool removes black bars from the game at ultrawide and wider resolutions.
Unpack the archive with software like 7zip or PeaZip using the password pcgw Launch the game, followed by the tool. Press the hotkey as shown to enable the fix. In the game, Set the Video Resolution to Desktop. Alternatively, if already selected, switch between 1080p and Desktop or press Alt+Enter twice. All trainers containing CE components may trigger some anti-virus software.
Although the changes are small enough to be part of a convenient patcher, Origin DRM, the common nature of Microsoft Store apps, and unpatched Steam DRM would not allow binary patching in this specific case.

Tested the latest Origin version at 2560x1080, briefly at 3440x1440, 3840x1080 and 5760x1080.

Some menu UI scaling and cropping issues are to be expected. For example, some customization decals may be out of view unless the fix is toggled off. All trainers containing CE components may trigger some anti-virus software. Tested the latest GOG version in borderless briefly at 2560x1080, 5760x1080 and 11520x1080. Dialogue choice options were out of view at the latter, though the gameplay was fine.

The tool removes black bars from the game at 21:9, 32:9, 48:9 and other wide resolutions.
Download and unpack the archive using software like 7zip or PeaZip. The password is pcgw Launch the game Launch the tool Press the "Enable" key While in the game, briefly switch to the Borderless or Fullscreen mode. Use the tool to manually adjust the UI size at 32:9 and wider resolutions. Known issues:
Stretched loading screens and rare FMVs. Minor UI display and alignment issues. Use the UI adjustment keys if necessary. The window mode switching requirement is also undesirable, hence the version number!
Tested the latest Epic version at 2560x1080, briefly at 3840x1080, 5760x1080, 5120x2160 and 7680x1080 on a single monitor.
