About This File

The trainer removes black bars from the game at 21:9 and wider. Unlike the existing solution, it works with Game Pass and any aspect ratio.

  1. Unpack the archive - the password is pcgw
  2. Launch the game, followed by the tool.
  3. Press the key as instructed to enable and disable the solution in real time.
  4. Press Alt+Enter twice or switch to a different window mode and back for proper application.

Known issues (as with the existing solution):

  • Pre-rendered cutscenes are stretched.
  • Post-process effects scale improperly, resulting in washed out image the wider it gets.

Tested the latest Microsoft Store / Game Pass version at 2560x1080 and 7680x1080. The latter was significantly affected by blurred effects and missing shadows / ambient occlusion.
Using MSAA is not recommended, as it causes additional washout - even without modifications, at 16:9.

This isn't doing anything on my system, I hit F9 like the program tells me to and absolutely nothing happens visibly. Am I doing something wrong, or did an update to the game break the tool?

Is this on Microsoft Store? If not, try the other solution I linked.

No, it’s on Steam. Whatever update broke this also broke that other solution, which doesn’t seem to have been updated in the last few years. That replaces the EXE which causes the game to crash. 
 

Edit: I don’t know why but when I downloaded the .rar file again and  moved the .exe over it actually seems to have worked this time, albeit still stretching the anime cutscenes. No idea what I did differently but I’ll take it.
