About This File

The game features FMVs and rendered cutscenes that get pillarboxed at 21:9 and wider resolutions.
This patcher removes the black bars from the rendered cutscenes and has no effect on the FMVs as there is no way to hack a pre-recorded video to add more content.

Simply unpack the archive and patch the main game exe.

Tested on the latest Steam version at 2560x1080 and briefly at 5760x1080 in both DX modes.

I attempted to download this patch but Windows Defender flagged it as a trojan. I downloaded it on my phone with the intent to transfer the extracted exe via Google Drive in case it was just the zip file it was flagging, but Google Drive also flagged the exe as a trojan.

I'm very curious to know what exactly the file does, my paranoia is that the version hosted on PCGW has been infected without your knowledge.

The CRC hash of the exe from this page matches what I have on my PC (3839306c for the current v1.2). A file does not need to do anything even remotely malicious or suspicious to be false flagged, as noted below the download button here or on the WSGF sub. At the end of the day, anyone is welcome to analyze this or any other of my files in a sandbox to any extent and present their report to the public if there's anything problematic.
In fact, some already do, but the outcome isn't anything on malware but repackaged versions of my work. 😆
