About This File

This shader hack I've made disables the annoying top and bottom black bars shown during intro dialogues and other cutscenes. Just extract the files to the bin folder, where the game executable is located.

      The tools for Steam and Microsoft Store versions of Halo: Reach, Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, ODST, and Halo 4 remove black bars at cutscenes in real time for ultrawide, superwide and triple monitor resolutions. The password for the archives is pcgw
      Play the game in the Anti-Cheat Disabled mode for this to work. Launch the game first, then the tool.
      The tool is a trainer based on CE components that may trigger some anti-virus software. Making it into a patcher would be inconvenient, as it would likely require replacing files before each launch in the anti-cheat-enabled mode.
      Tested the Xbox / Microsoft store version at 2560x1080 (all games), 3840x1080 (Halo CE, 3, ODST, 4) and 5760x1080 (all games).

      Download the included trainer and unpack it with software like PeaZip. The password is pcgw Launch the game, then the tool. Press the shown keys to remove the black bars and adjust FOV as desired. Alternatively, for the DRM-free version, use the included aspect ratio patchers to target \BloodstainedRotN\Binaries\Win64\BloodstainedRotN-Win64-Shipping.exe within the game folder.
      To avoid upscaling, edit %LOCALAPPDATA%\BloodstainedRotN\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini and at the end add
      ResolutionSizeX=YOUR_WIDTH
      ResolutionSizeY=YOUR_HEIGHT
      and set FullscreenMode=0
      Changing game settings may reset the above.
      Tested the latest GOG and Xbox Game Pass versions at 2560x1080, 3840x1080, 5760x1080 and 3240x2160.

      This is a patcher for Yakuza 7 (Like a Dragon) that removes the letterboxing at non 16:9 resolutions.

      It is made using quickBMS to extract UI resource files and replace the letterboxing textures.
      To install:
      1. Extract the contents of the zip to "steamapps\common\Yakuza Like a Dragon\runtime\media\data" 2. Run "letterbox_patch_efigs.bat" 3. A backup of the original files will be placed within a folder marked "backup". Known Issues:
      Due to the nature of how the game was made, you will see outside of the 16:9 window. You may see visual glitches and so on that would have been hidden otherwise. New patches for the game may break this. If it does, delete the backup folder and run the patcher again. Credits/Sources:
      QuickBMS (https://aluigi.altervista.org/quickbms.htm) for the unpacker/repacker. parc.bms (https://aluigi.altervista.org/bms/parc.bms) for the quickbms script.
