  1. Marine Heavy Gunner: Vietnam - Widescreen Fix

This RAR file contains modified Engine.dll files that fix the FOV and aspect ratio in the 2004 action FPS game "Marine Heavy Gunner: Vietnam". It doesn't require changing the FOV or resolution ingame or through config files. Supports the following aspect ratios: 16:9, 16:10, 21:9, 32:9 and 48:9. This fixes both the camera and weapon FOVs (cutscene FOV is also fixed), unlike the FOV fix through User.ini, which only fixes the gameplay camera FOV.
    Instructions:
    1. Extract the Engine.dll that corresponds to your aspect ratio and put it inside the "System" folder, replacing the original file.
    2. You need dgVoodoo2 as well (I won't explain here how to set it up, I'll assume you already know it).
    3. Inside dgVoodoo2, set the "Scaling mode" in the General tab to "Stretched" and set your native resolution in the "DirectX" tab (The in-game resolution has to always be in 4:3, no matter the aspect ratio you choose from the fix).
    5. You're good to go.
    Issues:
    - HUD and menus are stretched.

  2. Marine Heavy Gunner: Vietnam - Windows Vista/7/8/8.1/10 Fix

This fix is intended to make the 2004 game "Marine Heavy Gunner: Vietnam" run on Windows versions above XP, as it only runs up to XP by default, even though the game itself has no DRM copy protection at all (Tested the vanilla game on an XP machine and runs perfectly without the CD).
    Instructions:
    1. Extract Core.dll to the "System" folder inside the game's main folder, replacing the original file.

  4. Dr. Brain: Action Reaction - FOV Fix

This RAR files contains a Dr Brain Action Reaction - FOV Fixer v1.1.exe, intended to fix the field of view in the platform game Dr. Brain: Action Reaction (1999), as the game's engine, Unreal Engine 1, crops the field of view at aspect ratios wider than 4:3 (Vert-). This is a permanent fix, so it's no longer needed to run the "fov" command every level reset/restart or when cameras change during levels, or having to bind the command to a key.
    Source code available here: https://github.com/alphayellow1/AlphaYellowWidescreenFixes/blob/main/source/fixes/DrBrainActionReactionFOVFix.cpp
    Instructions:
    1. Extract Dr Brain Action Reaction - FOV Fixer v1.1.exe to <path-to-game>/DBACTREA/System/, and extract the 32-bit or 64-bit fixer exe depending if your system is 32 or 64-bits.
    2. Run the fixer, set the desired resolution width and height to fix the FOV automatically, or set a custom FOV value.

  6. Marine Sharpshooter 4: Locked and Loaded - Widescreen Fix

This RAR file contains modified Engine.dll files that fix the FOV and aspect ratio in the 2008 action FPS game "Marine Sharpshooter 4". It doesn't require changing the FOV or resolution ingame or through config files. Supports the following aspect ratios: 16:9, 16:10, 21:9, 32:9 and 48:9. This fixes both the camera and weapon FOVs, unlike the FOV fix through User.ini, which only fixes the camera FOV.
    Instructions:
    1. Extract the Engine.dll that corresponds to your aspect ratio and put it inside the "System" folder, replacing the original file.
    2. You need dgVoodoo2 as well (I won't explain here how to set it up, I'll assume you already know it).
    3. Since this fix only works with the game's DX8 renderer instead of the default DX9 one (dgVoodoo2 can't hook into D3D9 in this game for some reason), you need to set the renderer manually in the game's config file. Go to MS4.ini and in the [Engine.Engine] section, change the line "RenderDevice=D3D9Drv.D3D9RenderDevice" to "RenderDevice=D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice"
    4. Inside dgVoodoo2, set the "Scaling mode" in the General tab to "Stretched" and set your native resolution in the "DirectX" tab (The in-game resolution has to always be in 4:3, no matter the aspect ratio you choose from the fix).
    5. You're good to go.

  7. The Chickenator - FOV Fix

This is a RAR file that contains a modified chickenator.exe and a The Chickenator - FOV Fixer v1.2.exe intended to fix the FOV issue in The Chickenator (2003), as the game's engine stretches the image at resolutions with an aspect ratio wider than 4:3, due to it having a constant horizontal FOV, no matter the resolution chosen.
    Source code available here: https://github.com/alphayellow1/AlphaYellowWidescreenFixes/blob/main/source/fixes/ChickenatorFOVFix.cpp
    Instructions:
    1. Extract both executables to the root game folder, replacing the original chickenator.exe, and extract the 32-bit or 64-bit fixer exe depending if your system is 32 or 64-bits.
    2. Run The Chickenator - FOV Fixer v1.2.exe, insert your desired resolution width and height to automatically fix the FOV.
    Issues:
:-: Some menu icons are misaligned, but during gameplay it's fine.

  8. Half-Life, Blue Shift, & Opposing Force Menu Text Corrections (Half-Life 25th Anniversary Update) - English

This fixes some inconsistencies across the three official Half-Life games to make the menus fit with the game more and bring back the WON styled text as close as possible with the Steam Version.
This does not add the missing animated logos, fix menu background scaling issues, or add/modify menu functions. This is simply text correction for the menus.
Color scheme for Blue Shift is not included in this download but can be downloaded from here instead.

    Installation:
Note: The way this is installed ensures no updates or game file verification will delete/overwrite the custom files.
    1. Download the file.
    2. Extract the zip file to the main installation directory (where hl.exe is located).
    3. In every game, go to the in-game options menu and under the "Content" tab, make sure "allow custom addon content" is checked. Click apply and the game will restart with the new text.

    Changes for all 3 games:
Made main and pause menu text all capital, this is how it was in the WON versions.
Changed "Options" text to "Configuration" like the WON version.

    Changes for Half-Life:
Replaced "Training Room" text in New Game menu with "Hazard Course"

    Changes for Blue Shift:
Replaced "Training Room" text in New Game menu with "Hazard Course"
Replaced "Play Half-Life" button text in New Game menu with "Play Blue Shift", since that is the name of the game anyway.

    Changes for Opposing Force:
Grey text on the side of the main menu options have been changed to their equivalent text from the WON version of the game, soldier!
Replaced "Training Room" text in New Game menu with "Boot Camp" Like the WON version.
Replaced "Play Half-Life" button text in New Game menu with "Play Opposing Force", since that is the name of the game anyway.
Changed "Are you sure you want to quit?" text to "You going AWOL on me, son?" From the WON version.

Please let me know of any typos I missed.

  10. Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddler's Green - Widescreen Fix

This RAR file contains modified Engine.dll files that fix the FOV and aspect ratio for the 2005 survival horror game "Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddler's Green". It doesn't require changing the FOV or resolution ingame or through config files. Supports the following aspect ratios: 15:9, 16:9, 16:10, 21:9, 32:9, 32:10, 48:9 and 48:10. This fixes both the camera and weapon FOVs, unlike the FOV workaround through User.ini, which only fixes the camera FOV. Even though the default camera FOV is 65, I recommend a lot for it to be increased to 90 for a less of a tunnel vision experience (don't increase it beyond 90, as the the fix automatically converts 90 to whatever aspect ratio you choose, only the camera FOV is increased but at least the viewmodel isn't so close to the camera with this fix).
    Instructions:
    1. Extract the Engine.dll that corresponds to your aspect ratio and put it inside the "System" folder, replacing the original file.
    2. You need dgVoodoo2 as well (I won't explain here how to set it up, I'll assume you already know it).
    3. Inside dgVoodoo2, set the "Scaling mode" in the General tab to "Stretched" and set your native resolution in the "DirectX" tab (The in-game resolution has to be in 4:3, don't change it in LOTD.ini).
    4. You're good to go.
    Issues:
    - HUD and menus are stretched.
    - Intro movies don't play in the proper position of the screen.

  11. Secret Agent Barbie - Widescreen & FOV Fix

Comes with a RAR file, which includes a modified SecretAgent.exe and a Secret Agent Barbie - Widescreen Fixer v1.1.exe to fix the resolution and field of view in Secret Agent Barbie (2001).
    Source code available here: https://github.com/alphayellow1/AlphaYellowWidescreenFixes/blob/main/source/fixes/SecretAgentBarbieWidescreenFix.cpp
    Credits also go to: AuToMaNiAk005
    Instructions:
    1. Extract both exe files to the root game folder, replacing the original SecretAgent.exe, and extract the 32-bit or 64-bit fixer exe depending if your system is 32 or 64-bits.
    2. Run Secret Agent Barbie - Widescreen Fixer v1.1.exe, and insert your desired resolution width and height.
    3. Put the dgVoodoo2 files in the game folder and set your desired resolution in the "DirectX" tab.
    4. Run the game and it should run at your chosen resolution.
    - Issues:
:-: It's not recommended to go wider than 32:9, since the game behaves in a weird way if doing so.
:-: Main menu stays at a 640x480 area, and doesn't scale to fit the resolution chosen.
:-: HUD doesn't scale, so use a display wrapper like dgVoodoo2 to upscale it.
:-: Letterboxed black bars during cutscenes no longer appear at any resolutions other than 640x480 (Might or might not be an issue, depends on your preferences).

  13. Grand Prix Legends - 60 FPS patch 2.0

Patch that allows Grand Prix Legends to run at 60 FPS instead of the default 36 FPS.
    KNOWN ISSUES
Online replays have extra jumpiness. This is a general GPL issue, and 60 fps simply makes the problem more obvious.  There are frequent 'double-clicks' especially in the setup screen. Moving 3do objects (flags etc..) move too fast on some tracks. Mixing 36 fps and 60 fps online does not work correctly. This version of the patch implements fps checking, so hosting with 60fpsv2 should avoid the problem. But those servers which are not patched, or are running the 60fpsv1 patch, can be joined with wrong fps. Drivers should find out what fps is used on the server, and use the correct version when joining.  a patched GPLRA loads 60fps replays and generates correct race reports, but does not analyze the laps correctly. Please do not report on this, since it is a known issue. Consider using the patched GPLRA for race reports only. Retrieved from:

  15. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Lockdown - FOV Fix

This RAR file contains modified Lockdown.exe files that are intended to fix the FOV in the 2006 tactical FPS game Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Lockdown, since the engine that the game uses is Vert-, that means the vertical FOV is reduced the wider the aspect ratio becomes, while horizontal FOV stays the same. This fixes the FOV for 5:4, 16:9, 16:10, 21:9 and 32:9 resolutions. To change the FOV for other aspect ratios, a readme file is included in the fix that shows the hex addresses that have to be changed.
    Instructions:
    - Just extract the Lockdown.exe file that corresponds to your aspect ratio and overwrite the original executable (first backup the original file in case you need it again).

Supports the following aspect ratios: 16:9, 16:10, 21:9, 32:9, 32:10, 48:9 and 48:10. This fixes the camera FOV both during gameplay and in-engine cutscenes, unlike the FOV workaround through User.ini, which only fixes the camera FOV during gameplay.
    Instructions:
    1. Extract the Engine.dll from the folder that corresponds to your aspect ratio and put it inside the "System" folder, replacing the original file.
    2. You need dgVoodoo2 as well (I won't explain here how to set it up, I'll assume you already know it).

  19. Super Stunt Spectacular - Widescreen Fix

The game can be run in widescreen by changing the resolution in the StuntMan.cfg file, but this results in a totally stretched image from 4:3. This RAR file fixes that (except HUD and texts), and contains modified SuperStunt.exe files that fix the FOV and aspect ratio for the 2005 racing game Super Stunt Spectacular. The fix supports the following aspect ratios: 16:9, 16:10, 25:16 and 64:27 (basically same as 21:9). 64:27 isn't too recommended, as a large part of the right side of screen in the main menu is covered by black, making menu navigation challenging.
    Instructions:
    1. Extract the file inside the folder that corresponds to your desired aspect ratio to the main game folder, overwriting all original files (make a backup of those first if needed).
    2. Set your desired resolution in StuntMan.cfg (<main game folder>/StuntMan.cfg).
