  2. Worms 3D - Better Icons

    In this archive I have included two bundle files, which contain higher quality icons compared to the original PC release. See the attached pictures for comparison. 
    The files are extracted directly from the Mac port of Worms 3D, published by Feral Interactive in 2004. I take no credit for creating the content of these files.
    INSTALLATION: Enter the game directory (Team17/Worms 3D/Data/Bundles), and replace bundle01.xom and bundle02.xom with files found in the archive.

  5. Spec Ops: The Line higher quality icon

    This icon is a replacement for the default icon that comes with the Steam version of Spec Ops: The Line. The default icon is only 48x48, whereas this recreation is 256x256.

A user on Steam, Carloskun, has made a faithful and higher resolution one (up to 256x256) based off an official poster of the game (minus the logo featured on the original desktop icon).

    The 2011 and Steam releases of Sonic Adventure DX only have a 64x64 desktop icon. PkR on SonicRetro made a hi-res mockup of a 256x256 version, which I have converted into icon format (SADX 2011 and Steam by PkR.ico). I have also included the 2004 release's icon (SADX 2004.ico), as well as a version of it with transparency bugs fixed that Blue Spikeball made (SADX 2004 fixed by Blue Spikeball.ico).

  14. Toonstruck icons

    Due to using ScummVM and not having the original disc images, the GOG (and presumably Steam) versions of Toonstruck are missing the original icon (intended to be used with a PIF shortcut). I have provided it here, along with versions that add a transparency effect to make the icon look cleaner (although I had to shift everything left one pixel to make an effective border). The Steam version of the icon also is lacking a 256x256 version, so I created one using waifu2x-caffe. 
     
    TOONSTRK.ICO is the original icon, with a solid black background.
    TNSTRK95.ICO removes the background while using a solid black line to accentuate details. It should be in a format compatible with Windows 95 (it's also compatible with Windows 3.1, but you really shouldn't be playing it that way).
    Toonstruck original with transparency.ICO is the same as TNSTRK95.ICO, except it is integer-upscaled to 256x256 (with several intermediate versions).
    Toonstruck Steam +256.ico is the icon used by Steam, with the addition of a 256x256 version (cutesy of waifu2x-caffe).

    This is an English translation of the Russia-only PC version of MorphX, courtesy of wkduffy and taken from legendsworld.net.  Installation instructions can be found in the ReadMe.txt file.
    NOTE:  Russian version's tutorial section mentions the button bindings used for various actions, this translation removes the button bindings and uses a generic "press the assigned key" text.

    This is a simple enhancement for the default desktop icon for Crysis 1. The default icon maxes out at 48x48, so I found a high quality render (thanks DuelZ) that matches the original icon and cropped it appropriately to the same proportions as the original icon to create a 256x256 icon to make full use of that Windows Vista goodness.

  17. GreedFall - Intro Logo Skip

    GreedFall has roughly ten seconds of logos on startup.  However, deleting the files will cause the game to crash on startup.
     
    This file contains two video (MP4) files, named after the movie files included in the game.  These files are blank placeholders that will replace the intros, skipping straight into the first loading screen.
     
    To install these files, follow the directions on the PCGW article for GreedFall, or use the README file included.
    Both video files should be placed in <path-to-game>\boot\data\video.

  18. Anodyne 2: Return to Dust icon scaling fix

    The icon embedded in the executable for Anodyne 2: Return to Dust has blurry interpolation between pixels, despite having an original resolution of 16x16. This even affects the 16x16 version of the icon, so it likely is some weird quirk of Unity. I have manually recreated the icon pixel-by-pixel and integer upscaled to all major icon resolutions except 24x24 as to achieve a pixel-perfect upscale.

  19. Forsaken Remastered icon scaling fix

    The default icon included in the executable of Forsaken Remastered is only included in the size 256x256. Due to this, Windows uses nearest neighbor downscaling to create the 16x16, 32x32, and 48x48 icons when they are needed (such as on the taskbar or in the Start Menu). The icon file provided here includes these resolutions and more, linearly downscaled from 256x256 to preserve clarity. It also includes the 8-bit 32x32 icon from the original 1998 release of Forsaken.

    Not available in digital versions of the game.
    It is the official translation, not a fan made one.

    No disponible en las versiones digitales del juego.
    Es la traduccion oficial, no una hecha por un fanatico.
     
    Instructions
    1.- Go to root folder (where the game its installed), and open "main" folder located inside root folder and copy Pak6Es.pk3 inside it.
    2.- Delete, move, or change the name of any other "Pak6.pk3" file located inside the same folder, given that this will conflict with this file.
    The last two letters before the file extension define the language of your game so it could be a series of different combinations for example (Pak6Uk.pk3).
    This would be the file to eliminate.
    Done.
     
    Instrucciones
    1.- Ve a la carpeta principal del juego (donde tienes el juego instalado), abre la carpeta "main" que se encuentra dentro de la carpeta principal del juego y copia dentro de ella el archivo Pak6Es.pk3.
    2.- Elimina, mueve, o cambia el nombre de cualquier otro archivo llamado "Pak6.pk3" localizado dentro de la misma carpeta del juego, dado a que entrara en "conflicto" con el archivo de traducción.
    Las ultimas letras antes de la extension del archivo, definen el lenguaje de tu juego, entonces podrían ser una serie de diferentes combinaciones, por ejemplo (Pak6Uk.pk3)
    Este es el archivo que debemos eliminar.
    Es todo.

    Extract the contents of the download to the base installation folder. Replace the files when prompted. Modifying the external options menu (Setup.exe) after applying the translation will reverse the changes.
