  4. Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2/Mysteries of the Sith - Half Waggle Weapon Speed Mod

    Explanation:
    I did this because i don't like how the weapons swing/waggle in first person view, in Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 and Mysteries of the Sith, being worse if you use jkgfxmod. They are very distracting in the action.
    I only edited the <game>/Resource/cog/*.cog files, changing the "jkSetWaggle" parameters to a half of the original files, taking the EMJK / EMSITH or Jedi Knight Neural Upscale Special Effect Annex 1.0 / MotS Neural Upscale Special Effect Annex 1.0 cog files as reference.
    Compatibility:
    Fully Tested with the GOG version, with the setting Always Run ON, and with jkgfxmod and High Detail Mod.
    Non tested with EMJK / EMSITH , JK: Remastered / MotS: Remastered, or others High definition replacement mods, but it should work with them if you don't like the swinging/waggle of this versions, but it can cause issues too.
    Installation:
    Extract the file in Dark Forces 2 or Mysteries of the Sith's game folder. If you have a (mostly) vanilla game it shouldn't overwrite any file.
    If you are using other mods and there are file overwrited, it could cause issues, but i don't know because it's untested.
    ℹ️  NOTE: It might not work if you load an old save game, but it works with a new game.

    this is a Texmod mod that i made a while ago, its not perfect because i couldn't find a proper way to extract the original button textures from the PS3 version of the game but it seems to work fine. tested with the GOG version of the game. i've also included the textures so if the tpf file doesn't work you can still use Texmod and do a tpf file yourself.

You'll know if it worked just by going into the game and listening. And be sure to select "General MIDI" in the game's SOUND.BAT file to get the awesome music.

    5. Turn on the Modernizer mod and do a full reset in the start menu of the Nolf2 game:       Game shortcut -> CUSTOM -> check Modernizer  -> OK -> options -> check Restore to default -> OK -> Play
    6. Select the display resolution. In the display settings set "Field of view" = 95 and and "Restrict Cinematic" = OFF.

  18. Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition - Shaders Fix v1.0.6 and Film Grain Removal

    UPDATE: This mod is longer necessary as re4_tweaks provides a more convenient way to disable the film grain and fix the shaders while adding other other improvements as well.
    I am NOT the author of this mod, I am uploading it here for posterity. please give thanks to the following members from the Resident Evil Modding Forums for making this mod!
    This mod fixes some things the game's stock shaders are missing while removing the game's film grain effect to provide a cleaner and better overall image with RE4 HD. Can be used with the Natural Gradients mod and adjusting the game's brightness to resemble the look of the GameCube/Wii versions of the game more closely. Tested on v1.0.6 and v1.1.0 and it still works as long as you install this mod correctly. Screenshots were taken on the same graphics settings (1080p, MSAA x8, default HD textures, Shadow Quality set to High, Motion Blur disabled) with a brightness of +40.

  19. Control - Blurry textures fix

    Description:
    The mod makes the texture streaming more aggressive. There is also an optional config that also loads high-resolution textures sooner and increases the texture pool from 1 GB to 2 GB.

    Installation:
    Simply extract the archive to the game folder. The default config only makes the texture streaming more agressive.
    If you also want it to load high-resolution textures sooner, browse to \data\globaldb\ and remove tweakables.xml, then rename tweakables_high_quality.xml to tweakables.xml

    Configs:
    .\data\globaldb\tweakables.xml makes the texture streaming of the game more agressive.
    .\data\globaldb\tweakables_high_quality.xml is an optional file that also loads high-resolution textures sooner. Rename the file to tweakables.xml to have it be applied.

    Download this 'no intro' mod. Unpack the contents of the archive to <path-to-game>\archive_win64\ Run MadMax_NoIntro.bat In the menu, select 5 to extract the original intro movie (this is required). Next select 1 to remove the intro movies. Launch the game. To restore the intros run the batch file and select 3, or replace game2.arc with the backup that was created in step 4.

    IMPORTANT: When using "More that 8 Cores Texmod.bat" (IF YOU LAUNCH IT IN ADMINISTRATOR) it will automatically also disable all your "HID-compliant consumer control device" (For better FPS) and 
    Re-Enable them automatically after you close the texmod. Keep in mind that it's a little buggy, sometimes it disables them, sometimes it doesn't... 
    in that case, just Relaunch it till it does.
     
    REMEMBER WHEN EXTRACTING THE FILES YOU HAVE TO EXTRACT THEM AT THE SAME TIME.
