This is a generic 32-bit version of the InstallShield 5 setup engine. This file can be used as a replacement installer for games that use 16-bit versions of InstallShield 5.
To determine if the game uses InstallShield, check the list of files that are in the setup directory (normally, there should be a dedicated folder for the installer somewhere on the game disk). If the file "_inst32i.ex_" is included, then the game uses InstallShield in some form.
From there, the version of the installer currently used needs to be verified to ensure that the replacement file will work. In the setup folder, find a "SETUP.EXE", "SETUP32.EXE", or other similarly named files. Once the installer is found, right click it, select "Properties", and go to the "Version"/"Details" tab. If the "Product version" and/or "File version" fields have a value along the lines of 5.xx.xxx.x, then the game uses version 5 of the setup engine and is compatible with this file.

I am no longer convinced this mod is the issue. I had tried Fallen Order via PC game pass from Microsoft via their $1 two week offer. The corrupt issue remains. -
Unfortunately this now causes the game to report a corrupt save file on launch. I installed the game, setup the custom pak, ran all good. Changed the controls and quit, relaunched and corrupt save without starting the game. Same if I start the game then do it all again. Removed the custom PAK and repaired game in EA app and it works without any corrupt game report.

I just get a black screen and that's it, have to kill the game with task manager, doesn't matter which renderer i pick. -
Crashing on the loading screen is related to certain HID-Devices which are usually USB Hubs or RGB Controllers. There are more games which are affected by the same issue such as No One Lives Forever. Go into Device Manager and one by one disable HID-Devices until you find the one causing the problem. On my PC it was one of the RGB Controllers from the motherboard causing it, and disabling the HID-Device for it made the game launch.

Noticed that in the pc version explosion effects and others like the fire from the gas containers (particles maybe) disappear and reappear almost like blinking in an out of existence when they shouldn't. This is definitely one of those poopy port cases cus the console versions don't have this issue.
