About This File

Comes with a RAR file, which includes an ASI plugin intended to fix the resolution, field of view and HUD in the open world first/third-person shooter game "Torrente" (2001), since the game only supports a limited amount of 4:3 resolutions (640x480, 800x600 and 1024x768).

Source code available here: https://github.com/alphayellow1/AlphaYellowWidescreenFixes/blob/main/source/fixes/TorrenteWidescreenFix

Credits also go to: Automaniak

Instructions:

1. Extract all files to the game folder.

2. Download ThirteenAG's Ultimate ASI Loader (32-bit version of winmm.dll), and also extract it to the game folder.

3. Set the desired resolution and FOV factor in TorrenteWidescreenFix.ini.

- Issues:

:-: Backgrounds in main menu and loading screens are still stretched at non-4:3 resolutions.

:-: Above ultrawide resolutions or with higher FOVs, parts of the map randomly start disappearing for some reason (I have no idea why this happens).

:-: On the 1.0 version of the game, the cursor escapes the window on ultrawide resolutions and higher, even when in-game. 1.1 releases solve this issue.

What's New in Version 1.1

Released

- Revamped the whole fix and turned it into an ASI patch.

How do I modify the DLL? Where’s the part I have to replace to play in another resolution?

Oh I'm sorry, I'll try to adapt the fix to let people choose their own resolution, thanks for letting me know 😄
