About This File

Option 1 (patchers):

  • Unpack the patcher archive and use the applicable tool to patch the exe in \MoonMan\Binaries\Win64\ within the main folder.
  • This will adjust FOV to match the vertical of 16:9.
  • The tool also aims to remove all pillarboxing except from pre-rendered cutscenes but this may come at the cost of reduced FOV in the starting cutscene. Some further cutscenes are confirmed as having more horizontal FOV but there is no way to guarantee every cutscene will display correctly without playing through the game.

Option 2 (trainer, supports Microsoft Store):

  1. Unpack the trainer / Game Pass archive with software like 7zip - the password is pcgw
  2. Launch the game
  3. Launch the tool
  4. Press the black bars removal key before a cutscene and use the other buttons to adjust FOV as desired

Tested the latest GOG and Microsoft Store versions at 2560x1080, 3840x1080 and 5760x1080.

Is it normal that Windows defender detects "occamy.c" once the archive is unziped ?

I had the same issue, trojan detected by windows defender. I would warn anyone against using this.

The tool removes black bars from the gameplay and in-level cutscenes at 21:9 resolutions. 32:9 and wider resolutions are not supported due to the main menu UI issues.
Download and unpack the archive using software like 7zip or PeaZip. The password is pcgw Launch the game first, followed by the tool. Press the keys as instructed while in the main menu of the game. If already playing, switch to windowed and back. Tested the latest Xbox Game Pass / Microsoft Store version at 2560x1080. Additionally verified by a WSGF member at 3440x1440.

The tools for Steam and Microsoft versions of Halo: Reach, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, and ODST remove black bars at cutscenes in real time for ultrawide, superwide and triple monitor resolutions. The password for the archives is pcgw
Play the game in the Anti-Cheat Disabled mode for this to work. Launch the game first, then the tool.
The tool is a trainer based on CE components that may trigger some anti-virus software. Making it into a patcher is not possible for Xbox and would be inconvenient to Steam users, as it would likely require replacing files before each launch in the anti-cheat-enabled mode.
Tested the Xbox / Microsoft store version at 2560x1080 (all games), 3840x1080 (Halo 3, ODST) and 5760x1080 (all games).
