    English: I've acidentally added the same description of version, which really can be run and for the first one, in which i saw the problem with unpacking the .rar file. The actual description of the correct file is in the description of the "update".

    This is a patch for Streets of SimCity that fixes a problem with 3Dfx Voodoo Rush based accelerators. This fixes the problem with failing to enter hardware accelerated mode. 
    You will also need to make sure you have the latest Voodoo Rush drivers from your board manufacturer. Voodoo Rush Glide drivers previous to version 2.43 will not work with Streets of SimCity. These drivers can also be found at the 3Dfx web site at http://www.3dfx.com/download/sdk/index.html#drivers.
    Installing the patch
    ====================
    Copy the file RushFix.exe to the directory where Streets.exe is located and run it. That's it!
    You will now be able to run Streets as before, except now you will have hardware acceleration with your Voodoo Rush card. Have fun!
    Notes
    =====
    3Dfx support
    Streets comes with native support for 3D hardware accelerators using the 3Dfx chip set. This will almost certainly improve your frame rate as well as image quality.  In accelerated mode, Streets only works correctly in high resolution only. We change graphics modes when going from the game play to the garage interface or the game menu. For instance, when you hit ESC from within the game to bring up the menu, Streets will switch back to its software renderer to display the menu. This may look kind of strange, but it is normal. When you return back to the game, 3D enhanced mode will be active again.
    One annoying little problem with this switching between the 3Dfx renderer and the DirectDraw renderer occurs when finishing a scenario, where a dialog box normally is displayed. This box, which informs you that you won or lost, may fail to appear thus seeming as though the program has frozen. Simply press ESC and the program will continue, showing the winning or losing animation.

    This is just the official 1.2 patch for the game (US English version). I'm leaving this here because it can't be found anywhere else online, all links are offline already. Leaving for archival purposes.
    Changes:
    01. Fix to Season mode disqualifications
    02. Fix to Long Drive event in Skills Competition where it was detecting wrong winner
    03. Improvements to Online Lobby feedback
    04. Spyglass Hole 16 now plays correctly as a PAR 4
    05. Fix to sand shot allows most club types to be selected

    version: Win64 patch
    Instructions for use:
    1) Ensure that you have applied the 1.1 patch to the game before extracting the new zip file.
    2) Extract all of the files contained in the zip archive to your Colin McRae Rally 2005 folder. By default this is c:\program files\Codemasters\Colin McRae Rally 2005
    3) When prompted choose to overwrite the existing cmr5.exe and protect.dll files
    Run the game.
    NOTE: This update is provided as is and is not supported. Codemasters offers no guarantee that this will allow the game to run under Windows 64 bit Edition and can offer no further assistance. If problems persist, you will need to install and run the game under one of the supported operating systems.

  23. Colin McRae Rally 2005 Patch

    This patch will fix the following issues with the game:
    1) Any instances of seeing white grass on tracks should now be gone
    2) There should be no more flasing sun textures when using "Handicap" on splitscreen games
    3) There is now an option to turn off sun effects within the game, this is achieved my running
    the game from a command prompt with the "NOSUN" command line option
    4) All engine tests now give you the same amount of time to complete them
    5) You can now go straight back from High texture quality to Medium texture quality
    6) There should be no more flashing sun effects when driving around tracks
    7) The random weather in online races will now correctly be random, and not taken
    from the previous race
