It is generally used to provide a conversion interface for games that need to be transcoded but cannot bypass DRM verification (such as repairing the text display for some Japanese games on steam where mojibake appears under non-Japanese systems), so that they can use LE and There is no need to bypass DRM, usually games in Asian or non-Latin languages require them,maybe. -
I've got it working on 2560x1080 resolution with the new 64-bit version, since the patches did not work for me. I changed only 0000F0440000FA44 to 000021450000F044 and it is not stretched. Changing it to 000021454000F044 did not work for me - it just crashed the game. There are small gaps that I noticed after a while on top and bottom but i don't know how to fix them and they don't really bother me. Also for Steam Deck, 1280x800 i changed it to 00 00 D8 44 00 00 FA 44 and it works -
The widescreen fix not work with dgvoodoo2 if the resolution is higher than 1080p. -

Thanks for the suggestion but I fixed it by installing an old version of Alchemy which I had on my HDD, I installed ver 1.41.00 and now EAX is working as expected in F.E.A.R. I tried installing 1.45.20 and 1.45.19 but none of them work with F.E.A.R. I can't find any other post mentioning something similar but it looks like Creative broke support at least for F.E.A.R. at some point when updating Alchemy, I can't find any other explanation for an older version fixing the issue
