About This File

Features:

Removes the pillarboxing (black bars) which appear on ultrawide monitors

Installation:

  • Unpack the archive
  • Copy all files into two game folders
  1. "\FINAL FANTASY XIII\"
  2. "\FINAL FANTASY XIII\white_data\prog\win\bin\"

Hotkeys:

F5 - FOV +
F6 - FOV -
F7 - Default FOV

 

In the Settings.ini file, you can change the following settings 

[RESOLUTION]
Fullscreen = 0
forces full-screen mode

Width = 0
Height = 0
forces the screen resolution

[FOV_MAIN]
Additional_degrees = 0.000
FOV value in degrees that will be added to current FOV;
doesn't affect to battles and cutscenes

[FOV_BATTLE]
Multiplier = 1.000
multiplier for FOV value used in battles

[FOV_CUTSCENE]
Multiplier = 1.000
multiplier for FOV value used in cutscenes

I tried a few things and couldn't get this working on my Steam Deck, worked very easily on my Windows PC (FF13Fix + 4GB-Patcher, then changed the resolution in the text files, no need for hardcoding values with the hexeditor).

 

For the FFXIII ultrawide fix I tried a few things, none got 1280x800 working.

  • With and without FF13Fix
  • With and without the 4GB-Patch
  • Modified my ffxiiimg.exe hex values to 00 05 00 00 20 03 00 00 for 1280x800
  • 4GB-Patched my modified ffxiiimg.exe
  • When using SajmoN hardcoded ffxiimg.exe I get a error code (error 30:0000005432 or something similiar)

 

I posted a issue on FF13Fix as apparently resolution changes can be done using that

EDIT: I was able to get full screen by installing FF13Fix, then use 4GB-Patcher, then install Ultrawide Fix and set resolution, launch game and select 'Windowed Mode" and "1920x1080" for fullscreen

edit: Looks like that's just stretched, the minimap turns into a circle, whereas it's meant to be a oval (weird, i know).
