Include release dates for console versions if they came out before PC

Would it make sense to add date of original console / other platform releases in the infobox, for games that were only released on PC later? For example, it is quite weird to only see the release date 2021 for Final Fantasy 1, since that game was originally released in 1987 and is a well-known classic, but in our series box and infobox we now place it near the bottom of the FF games since the Steam / PC port only came out in 2021.

This is by design since PCGW doesn't concern itself with any other releases beyond the PC platform. What matters to us is the release dates for the PC version -- not the typical "first ever released on this super-old platform nobody uses any longer" data point you can otherwise find on any run-of-the-mill wiki page detailing the game.

MobyGames (which PCGW links to) is a great source for historical releases of games on a variety of platforms.

Also, I'd note that even if we listed console releases, we would not consider Final Fantasy's 1987 NES release. The 2021 PC release is a remaster with completely different graphics, etc.

I agree with stuttgart, this is an important information, since PCGW's pages often mention differences between PC ports and console equivalents, if the release date is also different than it should be mentioned IMO
