SnowRunner, the Spintires/MudRunner successor, announces mod creator rewards, offers money to selected modders

SnowRunner, the latest entry of the Spintires series, is launching April 28, 2020.

The developers Saber Interactive have announced that they are offering a pool of €3000 or $3,252 per month to a select pool of modders:

• Based on mod popularity, a number of modders will receive a portion of money from a combined pool.
• To start with, this pool will be €3000/ $3,252 per month.
• Modders will be selected based on various criteria that take into account the popularity of established and new modders separately. This is to encourage a good balance between improving existing mods, and adding new mods.

 

It remains to be seen exactly which mod creators will be selected, and how many modders will be splitting this €3000 per month, which could be quite a substantial figure over time.
