AnotherGills 25 Share Posted October 28, 2019 For years, Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding has been hinted to be receiving a PC release. Less than two weeks before the launch of the PlayStation 4 version, the official Kojima Productions Twitter account announced that a PC version of Death Stranding would be released in summer of 2020. Furthermore, 505 Games has announced that they would be publishing the PC version (unlike the PlayStation 4 version published Sony Interactive Entertainment) on their official Twitter account. They did not reveal which storefront the game would be releasing on. Will you be playing Death Stranding on PS4, or will you hold out for the PC release? Given this is Hideo Kojima's first independent project, I'll gladly wait for the PC release. His old Konami division did a legendary job of porting the game to PC (though that engine was intended to be platform-agnostic), so I can't wait to nuke my computer with pumping the graphical fidelity well beyond what even the PC-oriented in-game presets allow. 😝 Reply (Quote)
Luigi master89 13 Share Posted October 31, 2019 The game is running on Guerilla's Decima Engine, which is so far only targeting the PS4. It will probably have a rough transition to PC, not unlike Sunset Overdrive which also used a proprietary console engine. Expect framerate caps and pillarboxed/vert- ultrawide at best, abysmal performance and stability issues at worst. Reply (Quote)
Andytizer 269 Share Posted November 2, 2019 The game looks really interesting, great reviews so far and something a bit different with a AAA budget attached to it. https://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/death-stranding Reply (Quote)
