This is a modification has 3 parts: the Hardware restrintions file to fix the resolution limit on the game properly. It is needed this way, as other guides will tell you to remove it partially or totally, which is a problem for other modifications, such as DXVK for instance, which will lead to memory errors if you remove it. It has been fixed to properly detect any resolution of your system now. the Hardware ratings file has been updated to properly detect how many threads your CPU has (1, 2, 3, 4, 6 or 8+) and to adjust the rating for the game starting settings. Also it will tell the game which CPU workermap to use base on your number of threads. the workerMap file for 8+threads cpus. As many of you can test out, using the game's stock workerMap for 8 cores will lead to crashes to desktop, or even not launching at all. So I've created this file using other EGO1.0 engine files, and tested it on several computers with 8+ threads. It's working now and should give a better support on newer cpus from now on As always, please: Backup your stock files before applying the modded ones After applying the mod, you need to delete the hardwaresettings folder inside %userprofile%/Documents/Codemasters/GRID folder in order for the game to properly re-detect your hardware.- 6 comments
