I'm Getting the same problem but I didn't download the 16:9 patch; I only have the pc fix. -
I found two versions of d3dx_43. The first was from a laptop and the second from a PC. The difference is in the size and digital signature time. Both were signed on May 22, 2010, but the first was signed at 12:19:51 PM and the second at 9:30:51 AM. For Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut, the one signed at 12:19:15 PM worked, but not the one signed at 9:30:51 AM. -
I installed that and the opening FMV straight up didn't play at all. Waiting for the player replacement option like the one in SH3's patch. -
Slight modification, adjusting also physics to 60fps from original value. Not really required as I didn't see any difference in game, but just to keep it coherent with new frame steps. Possibly more accurate. -
Microsoft has released the October 28 KB5067036 Preview Windows 11 update which has fixed movie playback.
