Garrett 214 Share Posted October 23, 2014 Template:Fixbox/fix currently includes a dynamic section link feature which breaks if links etc. are used in the fixbox title. I'm bringing this up because it's been an issue yet again. Has this feature ever been used? I don't recall seeing any page link to sections in this way; fixboxes are usually under standard headings anyway. In my opinion this section link feature should be removed entirely. Andytizer 269 Share Posted October 23, 2014 I originally added this so that people could link to specific fixes on the article page, e.g. to say Fix 1 doesn't work so here's the link to Fix 2. The fixbox title shouldn't contain a link but should be descriptive of the method being used, whereas the content should contain the link IMO. Mirh 103 Share Posted October 24, 2014 :\ I use it very often. It really helps to streamline fixes, so that even the most noob does not get lost San Andreas page is a nice example
Guest Share Posted October 24, 2014 I don't understand why this would be removed seeing as once in a while there's just no point into having instructions for certain things when we can simply link to a fix directly. Although I am confused by the link=false or true thingy tho
Guest Share Posted October 24, 2014 I don't see a single case of linking directly to a fixbox on the San Andreas page, though that thing is a mess regardless. Oh, durr, I was thinking of something else
