About This File

Spider-Man was a 2001 video game released by Activision, based on the movie of the same name. This disc contains a special demo of the Spider-Man game, along with promotional material for the movie.

In April 2002, Kellogg's offered this CD-ROM for free in exchange for some UPCs of their cereals and 2 proof-of-purchases from gallon milk jugs, as part of a campaign with "America's Dairy Farmers and Milk Processors" (the creators of "Got Milk?".)

There are some differences between this Kellogg's Edition of the game and the original, including in-game billboard ads for The Kellogg Company and "Got Milk?", a player model texture swap, and the title screen having it's graphics swapped with promotional art from the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movie. This demo was also updated in technical aspects. The demo contains a native 30 FPS cap absent from the full release, support for higher resolutions, and support for more modern controllers.

The demo allows players to play until the end of the Rhino boss battle. The demo removes the training, gallery, and cheat functions from the full game.

All you need to do to launch the game is un-zip the download, navigate to the "demo" folder, and launch "SpideyPC". Installation is optional on most modern systems.

To access the bonus content, you can navigate the folder, or use the "Launcher" within the base folder. Full program installation is also an option from this application.

This is a hack by killer-m which allows for Widescreen resolutions to display properly instead of being stretched, UI elements are still stretched however, and some 3D particle-based objects are culled out after a certain point. This patch also only works on the European version of the game, it may be possible to apply this patch on the US version though.
This info was obtained from here, all credit goes to killer-m:

This is a hack by Jackfuste which allows for widescreen resolutions to display properly instead of being stretched, additionally UI elements are unstretched and sit in the corners, and other 2D elements are centered, however loading screen graphics are stretched.  This fix was downloaded from this forum:

All credit goes to Jackfuste, I am merely uploading a mirror.  This was tested on a cracked retail version of the game, it is unknown if it will also work on a Windows XP system using StarForce protection.

These 2 save files allow you to start a "New Game Plus" playthrough of Spider-Man 3, since the game doesn't have an actual NG+ mode. One is for a normal playthrough of the game where Spider-Man switches between suits, the other is for a playthrough done entirely as Black-Suit Spider-Man.
Pick whichever one you want, then place it in the game's Save folder:
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Activision\Spider-Man 3 and rename it to "main_save_data", replacing the existing file (or back up the existing file), then run the game. It will start at the beginning, either with the normal suit, or the black suit, depending on which variant you picked.
