Hi,

I started occasionally contributing to this website a few months ago, but after being contacted by a few members for concerns regarding the rules I was accidentally breaking, I left editing alone for a while to get a better idea of how to work with the site.

Today, I came back to edit for the first major edit since being contacted.  I wanted to know if the following article I've written is up to standards, or if I'm still botching it in one way or another.  Since no existing article was on the site for Putt-Putt 4, I've created a new article from scratch.

What do you all think?  Is there anything I'm still doing wrong here?

Edit: Since then, I've also written an article for Rebuild 3.  I'm done for a good long while, but I'll still make edits if I messed this one up.

Not bad, but there are few things.

1) System Requirements - OS names are meant to be short and you shouldn't duplicate entries. So if minimum and recommended are same then only minimum should be filled. Also general stuff here.

2) Image names - Please use the Game name cover.jpg naming. So basically copy the game's title and add cover.jpg to the end

3) Lastly you used incorrect Steam ID and left WINE ID.

See the link below

Also optionally specify what release uses what engine

These are my nitpicks. Otherwise you did good, real good. Most people don't even make proper page to begin with.

You shouldn't be afraid to edit stuff, some things aren't really dead set or too clear anyway, there are no real standards yet from what I've seen so edit away. I kinda stopped doing the whole low spec keypoint thing seeing as it's a bit too broad though.

I'll just edit the article and then you can kinda see what you can change yourself.

If a game has native support for a setting, but no option for it in the menus, then you need to mark it as False.

Set a setting to Hackable if it requires an external solution, like an Alt Enter mode for a windowed mode, if there's no in-game option for it, then it's Hackable, if you can enable the windowed mode in-game then it's True, if you can't do either then it's False.

On your Rebuild 3: Gangs of Deadsville page you removed stuff from template such as wikipedia page. Please don't do that.

Also if Dev and Pub are same then only list the Dev.

Haven't personally seen this in the wild, ex: http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Super_Street_Fighter_IV:_Arcade_Edition#Video_settingshttp://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Battlefield:_Bad_Company_2#Video_settings. I would reserve the 'hackable' tag for things where you would have to edit a config file, registry key or use an external program.

Suggestions noted, thanks for the tips.

As far as SteamID goes, I think I might have accidentally grabbed it from Steam's properties instead of from the store page.  Whoops. :\

Rebuild 3 doesn't have a Wikipedia page, so I figured it would be best to remove the page altogether than have a broken link or one that leads directly to the home page.

You can just leave those fields empty.

Alright, then.  Thanks for the clarification.

While I'm here, another quick question: if a game has subtitles but is almost entirely text-based, do we mark subtitles as true with notes, or false?

I'm not sure, that was something that also confused me too. You should try asking here.
