ab5000 5 Share Posted September 13, 2023 Just wondering why some lists on the "Lists of Lists" have red text and are non-functional. Eg, "List of Games that use Unreal Engine 3-5" lists all work but the "List of Games that use Unity" and "List of Games That Support Controllers" are both currently broken? https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/List_of_lists#Engines Thanks. Mastan 13 Share Posted September 13, 2023 User who added them left the community shortly after and nobody fixed that yet. ab5000 1 Reply (Quote)
Aemony 142 Share Posted September 13, 2023 Red links basically indicates a non-existent target. We may end up creating them one day (probably isn't all that hard -- just use another existing link as a template) but so far nobody have done. The red link appears fixed but there's another problem with the list in that it only goes from A-C. Clicking "more..." comes up with another error message:- You do not have permission to run arbitrary Cargo queries, for the following reason: The action you have requested is limited to users in one of the groups: Users, Administrators, Trusted, Editors. Edit: It works fine when I'm logged in, however people in general can't browse it without being logged in. Reply (Quote)

Sadly this is actually by design. We had issues where those lists effectively DDoS'ed the site because every guest or bot/scrapper ends up making really expensive queries to our backend infrastructure so we had to lock down that permission to only signed in users. ab5000 1 Reply (Quote)
