Mega Man X: Japanese version

I've stumbled upon something curious. Indications are that the DOS version of Mega Man X was localized for Windows in Japan. Is this an actual port or just using a compatibility mode/wrapper?

If anything, it looks like a wrapper to me. We wouldn't know unless someone here had the game, though.

This particular release of Rockman X for Windows is something I've been curious about for a long time since seeing images of the box itself but alas I never could find a way to play it to see if it's a native PC port or a re-release of the shoddy DOS version.

It's kinda funny the big box has Windows 95 plastered all over. But the game itself could be DOS.

I see wail32.dll, which Earthworm Jim Special Edition (one of the first Windows 95 games) also used.  Not sure what that means though.  Can't even find this game on eBay.
