Obsidian’s classic Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords is no stranger to offical updates as well as fan-made retooling mods over a decade after its original release. Now, the game has received a massive fan-made retexturing mod. Known as KOTOR 2 Unlimited World Texture Mod, the modder facemeltingsolo took many of the game’s environment textures, and upscaled them by 4x through the usage of machine learning.

Many of the textures in the 2004 released Knights of the Old Republic II definitely show their age. This mod’s upscaling has massively cleaned these textures up, while preserving the artistic intent of the original.

The mod has motivated me to replay Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II. Will you do the same?

Looks nice. Added to the list of recommended graphical mods on the wiki page.

Would be nice if he mentioned what program and model he used to upscale them, though.
