AnotherGills 25 Share Posted July 18, 2019 Halo: The Master Chief Collection’s first Steam beta was a success, according to Tyler Davis (Community Support & Engagement Coordinator of 343 Industries). The purpose of the initial beta was to gauge the scalability of Halo: Reach’s engine. Davis also posted statistics regarding the beta’s playerbase. Quote Participation: 60.7% Times Played: 1,757 Survey Response Rating: 4.6/5.0 More interesting, is the end of the post, discussing Halo: Reach’s next flighting test, specifically stating “we’re currently targeting this milestone for later this month.” While the previous test allowed testers access to a level from Halo: Reach’s campaign, the upcoming test will give testers access to Firefight mode. Firefight is a singleplayer and multiplayer mode that tasks players with surviving against waves of enemies, with difficulty slowly increasing between rounds and sets in the form of enemy perks (such as increasing the health and shields of enemies). Those interested in taking part in the flighting program can sign up for the Halo Insider Program, which will allow users to be considered for flighting access.
