AnotherGills 25 Share Posted July 16, 2019 Between Fortnite’s recent implementation, as well as the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s inclusion, cross-platform multiplayer is becoming a major trend in gaming. Today, Randy Pitchford, CEO of Gearbox Software, posted a tweet regarding cross-platform play in the upcoming Borderlands 3. Quote “To be clear, there will not be any cross-play functionality in Borderlands 3 at launch as we work closely with our partners to create a positive cross-play experience as soon as practicable. We are committed to cross-play on as many platforms as possible.” Pitchford does not clarify what he meant by "partners" in the tweet, though one could assume partners is referring to platform holders (such as Sony and Microsoft). Considering the platform holders current adoption of cross-platform play, the odds of inclusion in Borderlands 3 is very high. Are you excited for Borderlands 3? Will having cross-platform multiplayer impact your decision to purchase it? Reply (Quote)

The first thing I thought when reading the title. "Post-release" aka "Steam release" lol. Reply (Quote)
