Colin McRae Rally 3&04&2005 Force Feedback Restore Module

About This File

This module is based on the open source software Xidi (https://github.com/samuelgr/Xidi).

(Functions solely on Windows 10 and Windows 11.)

I just configured a dedicated ini file for CMR345 so that these games can use Xinput to use the force feedback function normally.

And added a pause function to the controller (that is, mapping the Start&Back button to the Enter and ESC keys of the keyboard)

If you want only one virtual controller to be displayed in the game, please add these parameters to the last line of the xidi.ini file.

[Workarounds]
ActiveVirtualControllerMask = 0x01

Hi luminousnox,

just apply the module but I can't pause the game neither feeling the ff.

Why?

Thanks

I have not been able to use my PC for the past two weeks, so I cannot help you completely solve this problem, but from what I understand it may be that there is a problem with the contents of the xidi.ini file, or you have not placed the .dll file in the right place. You can try reading the xidi project description, which can help you solve the problem. (translate by Google translator)

You can take a screenshot of the location where you placed the patch and the files in the directory and upload it as an attachment, if you still need my help.

Don't work. Win10, Xbox series X controller vibration doesn't exist. Xini on W10 is such a disappointment compare to this random Japanese driver on Win7. It gives Force Feedback vibration in almost every game in win 7 on windows 10 xini don't work me at all, so far 😞

I think it’s an issue with your OS environment. I’m using the official receiver to wirelessly connect the gamepad that comes randomly with the XBOX Series X on Win11. It works normally on CMR4, with both force feedback and hot-plugging functions working properly. Also, I remember that the Win7 driver couldn’t solve the problem of some games using dinput not using Dpad, but xidi can, which is why I chose xidi. I have switched almost all my games that use dinput input to xidi, including some games that are only released in China and Japan. They all work normally, so I think the problem of not working should be in the system environment. (Translation from Microsoft Copilot)
