DirectPlay standalone (without Windows ask for installation)

About This File

Both zip-files provide the "DirectPlay" files needed to execute games that ask for them to work correctly. (One zip contains Windows XP DirectPlay, and the other contains Windows 10 Legacy DirectPlay, both do the same).

* Important: Put all the files of one of the two zip-files in the same directory where the executable of the game is.

 

-Tested on Windows 10 - 22H2, and working with the next games (Those games are working with XP and Win10 files):

 

· Blade - The Edge of Darkness / Severance

· The Suffering

· The Suffering - Ties that Bind

· Dungeon Keeper

· Syberia

· Syberia 2

 

Maybe this method also will work with other "DirectPlay" games.

Minor note, dpmodemx.dll and dpwsockx.dll at least seems to be from a different source, as their metadata is in Spanish, and not English (US) as the other files.
