These files allow Dawn Of War II and its' standalone expansion, Chaos Rising to use GFWL instead of Steamworks. This also allows for playing matches via LAN and/or direct IP connections.

Note: This does not bypass or remove Steam's DRM in any way. You still need Steam to run the game in addition to GFWL.

I have some questions whether or not this still works.

 

Having installed the patch, I am unable to login to my GFWL account. And the instructions to remove the xlive.dll file makes the game unable to start.

 

So is it still possible to log into and use DOW2 with GFWL?
