True Crime Streets of LA - Any way to disable mouse zooming?

Recommended Posts

The camera mouse movement in this game is fine and functions as one would expect while aiming a gun, but when walking the camera is just awful. Moving the mouse left and right works normally, but moving it up and down doesn't make the camera tilt up and down, it just makes it zoom out or zoom in (it's the latter which bugs me). Is there any way to disable mouse controlled zooming, or a way to leave the zoom fixed in place, or maybe even make the walking camera movement behave the same as the one for aiming?

Edit: No, AutoHotkey won't work. Starting the game kills AHK for some reason and alt tabbing to re-enable AHK just makes the game crash.

+1 for This. I also want vertical mouse zoom removed. If the Aim camera i.e., when you press key 3 could be same as normal fighting and walking i.e., key 1 and key 2 that would be perfect. In terms of Graphics dxvk fixes a lot of stuff & even restores lensflare from xbox version. The only thing remains is the "building shadows and lighting from PS2 version". If that could be enabled this game is absolutely flawless.

The mouse thing is my main priority, just want the game to be actually playable (I'm allergic to aiming with a gamepad).

Yeah gamepad is actually not supported afaik. The mouse and camera fix will definitely fix the major issue while playing this title. If only there was a toggle on pressing which vertical mouse movement would be ignored.

To the OP, I apologize, I don't have anything to add that's helpful to your situation, to be honest, I'm just wondering where you were able to download True Crime: Streets Of L.A.? I absolutely LOVE that game, and I haven't played it since about '09 or thereabouts. It's a game I've been looking for a VERY long time, literally for YEARS.

Could you please point me in the right direction?

Also, did you pay for this game, is it on a subscription service like EA Origin?

Thanks for your help (hopefully) in advance.
