Transformers Revenge of the Fallen quits to desktop after intro videos

Recommended Posts

I googled this issue and found a forum thread which says that this issue is related to some Realtek audio chips, which is what my PC uses, and that the only way to solve the issue is to turn off sound hardware acceleration, which the post says is only doable in Windows XP. Is there any way to turn off sound hardware acceleration in Windows 10 x64, or perhaps some other solution to make the game run?

Maybe try some of the solutions on this page:

I know that the page for this game  doesn't mention EAX audio support, but considering it was related to audio acceleration so those solutions could help.

I already tried Creative Alchemy and that didn't work.
