Destroy All Humans! Demo ... Vert- workaround.

Recommended Posts

Whilst the gameplay might be fullscreen the view is chopped down compared to non-widescreen.
A workaround for this ...
This works with many Unreal engine games but it isn't perfect ...

Find the equivalent of ...
.... and add this to the bottom using a text editor ...

[/script/engine.localplayer] AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV

This fix often pulls the FOV out a little too far (depending on how the devs messed up the widescreen implementation) and in this case of this game that is what happens but it makes it more playable.
But hold on ...
There is another tool to change the FOV by unlocking the console ... it has some other benefits too but they don't always work as devs lock things from being modified (btw ... not my tool).
I used this on top of the previous fix to move the FOV back in to nearer the correct position using the console command ... fov 40

Download the Universal Unreal Engine 4 Unlocker ... https://framedsc.github.io/GeneralGuides/universal_ue4_consoleunlocker.htm
Use this comand to change the FOV in the console ... fov 40 ... obviously you need to change the FOV to what you want.

It isn't perfect but it is at least playable ... this is the result on my 32:9 screen ...
