AnotherGills 25 Share Posted August 13, 2019 Steam Workshop, Steam’s built-in modification platform, typically allows for unfiltered user submissions. Today, the Workshop’s policy was changed for three specific titles: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, and Team Fortress 2 (all three titles produced by Valve). Valve explained the purpose for the change through their support page, stating: Quote "Valve moderation staff needs to approve the item before it becomes publicly visible. Both of these steps are designed to prevent scams and account theft in the Steam Workshop." Valve’s public intentions are seemingly benign. What are your thoughts on the matter? Do you think this could spread to other games, or even trigger censorship in the Workshop community? Reply (Quote)
