The latest GPUs by AMD, known as Navi, has finally released with two versions, the Radeon RX 5700, and the Radeon RX 5700 XT. Priced at $350 USD and $399 USD respectively, these cards are in direct competition with Nvidia’s RTX 2060 Super (priced at around $400 USD) and RTX 2070 Super (priced at around $450-500 USD)

The RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT both sport 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM, with the RX 5700 having a base clock speed of 1465 MHz, and a boost frequency of up 1725 MHz. The 5700 XT’s base clock speed is 1605 MHz, with a boost frequency of up to 1905 MHz.

Multiple tech outlets have performed benchmark tests on the cards, including Digital Foundry, TechSpot, and AnandTech.

Here are some of AnandTech’s benchmarks, displaying performance differentials between the GPUs.

In general, while the RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT are only slightly underperforming when compared to their Nvidia counterparts, there is also a major price difference.

Between these GPUs, and the launch of their Zen 2 line of CPUs, AMD is a currently on a roll, providing competent competition with a much lower price point. Will you be adding any of AMD’s new CPU or GPU products to your build?
