AnotherGills 25 Share Posted June 28, 2019 Today, Square-Enix released the patch notes for Final Fantasy XIV’s swiftly approaching expansion pack, Shadowbringers. Curiously, one of the notes regards the removal of the unlimited frame rate option. Instead, it is being replaced by a new “Maximum (90 fps)” setting. While high frame rates are still being supported, it is very disappointing to see the removal of support for frame rates above 90 frames per second. Ironically enough, Square-Enix released a benchmark for Shadowbringers in May, which included full support for unlimited frame rates. Square-Enix has not provided any reasoning for this change. Hopefully this won’t be a permanent fixture to the game. Will this make or break your decision to play Final Fantasy XIV? Reply (Quote)
