Dougmau5 0 Share Posted August 8, 2013 My setup right now consists of : Corsair CX500 HIS HD6870 Intel i5-3570k Gigabyte z77-d3h motherboard. I'm wondering if the recent crashing of my system is due to me needing a bigger psu, I'm fairly sure it's not due to overheating. LDK 9 Share Posted August 9, 2013 Put your specs into this calculator and don't forget to set capacitors aging, but I think your PSU is good enough: http://extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine My bet is on faulty Gigabyte motherboard as they are using cheap components on voltage cascade and that can cause instability. Andytizer 269 Share Posted August 10, 2013 500W is normally fine for the kind of system you are on, the instability is probably caused by something else. Reply (Quote)
MichaelBuble 2 Share Posted August 13, 2013 Seeing as your crashing started recently, did you make any hardware modifications around that time? Reply (Quote)
